“Odd location.. worth the trip”
Reviewed July 7, 2013

A poignant and grandiose monument... it's desolate location is odd to understand, but if you have a bike there's no reason not to go and pay tribute. The views are indeed quite good, and the magnitude of the monument may put the enormity of the event into some perspective.

“Wow! What a great gift from Russia”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

If in the area, please do not miss this! The monument itself is breathtaking and the view across the river ads to the beauty. Very moving experience and easy to find. Right next to the cruise ship slip and free parking!

“An impressive monument with a great viewpoint”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

I stumbled upon this site on Google Maps and found it quite impressive. Getting there: For GPS directions, search for 51 Port Terminal Boulevard, Bayonne, New Jersey. This will get you to the right "dock" - a long stretch of land leading to the monument/memorial. It's still about 2 miles East on the "dock" to the park, which is only signed within a few hundred feet of getting there. But it's worth the adventure. Great views of Manhattan and the harbor area including the Statue of Liberty. Very lightly used. There is a website with history, et al: http://www.911monument.com/. A 20 minute visit will do it.

“911 Memorial”
Reviewed February 21, 2013

This memorial is located in an industrial, ocean shipping pier area. It is very nicely maintained with an excellent view of lower Manhattan. If taking a cruise ship from Port Liberty in Bayonne, it is within walking distance. It can also be seen from the Staten Island ferry.
