I stay here consistently when I travel to Basking Ridge for business. It is clean and conveniently located to Interstate 78 and Interstate 287. The hotel offers simple dining options, but is very close to several great restaurant options, including Thai and Italian. There are both Starbucks and Panera located very close to this hotel.

The rooms offer a standard Courtyard experience, efficient without many perks. This works for me when traveling on business, but I would probably not choose it for a personal vacation.

We had a weekend long family event in the area and stayed three nights in this pleasant clean Marriott Courtyard. It was a perfectly pleasant place, convenient to the highways, not to far from the airport, and within walking distance of a nice strip center with restaurants etc. The Bridgewater Mall was only a 10 minute ride, which was convenient when someone forgot a tuxedo shirt. The hotel was clean, bright and new. The downstairs lobby had a lively bar on the weekend, accessible computers, and breakfast in the mornings, (the breakfast buffet was about $14), but there was free coffee 24/7. There were several other wedding-guest families staying in the hotel and some of the kids even enjoyed the indoor pool and played in the nicely landscaped garden. Nice experience.

Room Tip: Rooms that face the back of the property have a view of the pretty garden, rather than the parking l...

My husband and I spent one night here to attend a nearby family wedding. Requesting a room overlooking the rear courtyard, we were assigned to one directly above the garbage container at the front of the building. There was no room safe nor refrigerator with beverages and snacks. Although the hotel literature spoke glowingly of recent renovation, the main reception area was small and dark - other guests had claimed the couches by lying on them to watch a high volumned television - a vision of upturned bare feet! The indoor swimming pool was locked without explaination. Two positive notes - our room was sparkling clean and the morning brunch fresh cooked and delicious.

Room Tip: Insist on a room facing the rear courtyard!

I have stayed here 2 times. The rooms are clean, user friendly and beds are comfortable. Service is always pleasant. Courtyards are always a great place to stay for business trips. This hotel is frequently sold out when I travel to this area or I would stay here more often.

I was recently here on a business trip which required long hours of work and some stressful moments. This Courtyard was very close to the work site, newly remodeled, and comfortable.

I really appreciate the new "look" of Courtyard, with the in-hotel bar and restaurant. It was nice to know that if you didn't feel like going out and eating alone that you could dine in the hotel bar and restaurant for a reasonable price. Additionally, the huge HDTV and pullout sofa were nice additions, although I didn't relax enough to truly enjoy either.
The breakfast buffet in the morning, with the omelets made to order, was a great way to start the day.

On the con side, the wireless internet in-room was extremely slow. Additionally, the desk is right in front of the air conditioning unit, which blasted out way too much cold air when it's on to be truly comfortable working at the desk. On a 90-degree day you hate to have to turn the A/C up to 74 degrees because you're freezing at the desk.

Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel highly to people working in the area.

We stayed here in June with our family; 2 adults and 3 kids. We needed a rollaway bed and they were kind enough to bring it to us very quickly. Nice & clean with a great breakfast! The breakfast is worth it to buy ahead when you book your room. We got an excellent price for our room. They have eggs, waffles, made to order omelets, cereal, oatmeal...just awesome! They do, however, get very busy but it is worth the wait. Would definitely stay again!

I've been staying at the Basking Ridge Courtyard every three months for about eight years, and have rarely encountered any issues during that time. The rooms are well-maintained, they have upgraded HD TV's, and the staff has always been very helpful. I eat breakfast in the restaurant during each stay, but the other meals served in the restaurant are nothing exciting. There are two nice but expensive restaurants within walking distance, but you will need to drive for anything else. On the other side of the freeway is a new shopping center with an excellent Italian place and a decent Thai place. Other than the two expensive restaurants down the street, most other restaurants are BYOB, so make sure you pick up a bottle of wine if you plan to have some with dinner at the local restaurants.
