“Worth the 217 Steps!”
Reviewed August 28, 2014

Awesome View, Excellent Park and Cool little Historical Museum. A must stop with the family and you can't get a better look at the north end of LBI than from this tower.

“Nice Daytime Option”
Reviewed August 25, 2014

We went here on a nice day with my 18-month old as going to the beach can get a bit tiring. There's a nice walk/boardwalk on the water's edge to see birds and dolphins in the water. It's free for the walk and only $3 if you want to climb the 200+ stairs at the top of the lighthouse (we didn't do it this time but have ventured up there in the past). You can also fish here too.

Overall, it's a quick hour or so trip that's a great attraction if you're spending a week on LBI.

“One of my favorite places on the planet”
Reviewed August 24, 2014

I love coming to "the lighthouse" and just hanging out on the jetty and watching the fisherman and the boats coming in and out of the inlet. My parents would take me here a few times a year when I was a kid and we do the same with my kids as well.

“This is a must see for the whole family.”
Reviewed August 22, 2014

Every year since the kids were very small we have taken them to the lighthouse. Two hundred seventeen steps to the top on a winding spiral staircase. The view from the top is breathtaking and you will want to get photos. Fee is $3 for adults (over 12 year olds) - think it is $1 for kids. There are a number of landings on the way up where you can pause for a break if you need it. Lots of families with kids - even very little ones. Take your time if you feel the stairs are too challenging. There is an interpretive trail to wander around outside the lighthouse - a small museum and a walkway along the jetty. Parking lot stays open til 10 pm. Walking distance to Kelly's restaurant and Dairy Queen. The kids are now in college but still enjoy the trip to the light house.
