The Windrifter was perfectly located for easy access to Lake Winnipauske amenities. From Storyland to the arcades and surrounding lakes, there's was plenty to do to keep and 3 & 7 year old occupied. And when the sun didn't shine the indoor pool, ping pong table and game room accommodated their interests perfectly. While our 3rd floor attic room was tiny for 4 people, I can't say enough about the front desk staff in terms of directly us to area facilities, recommending restaurants and responding to our needs.

We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your time with us! Our staff is awesome and it is always good to hear when our guests take full advantage of what our resort has to offer. We hope you will visit and stay with us, again, when your travels bring you back to the Wolfeboro area.

First time we stayed here and it was an enjoyable week. We did an exchange thru RCI. Saw several comments about place needing updates, but we found the resort and the units fine. We had a studio unit overlooking the golf course. Kitchen was fine except no dishwasher. Our only problem was the Murphy bed that is in most units. It is very low to the ground and takes up a lot of room in the unit. Other than that, the unit was very nice.
Location is great and Wolfsboro is a lovely little town right on the lake.
We used this location to venture to the Beach area of New Hampshire and into the White Mountains. You are less than an hour from each, and again, the lake is right there is that is to your liking.
The owners are very nice and were so helpful. They do a sort of greeting for all families on the first day there with some of the best donuts we have every eaten.
Ourselves, we didn't use many of the amenities of the resort, preferring to travel other places, but you are right on a golf course if that is your thing.
We would recommend this resort and would come back again.

Room tip: As was said, no dishwasher and very low to the ground bed, but other than that, everything was fine

Wolfeboro is a quintessential New England town with many things to see and do in the town and its surrounding areas. We are so glad you got to enjoy a lot of what the region has to offer. We, also, appreciate you letting us know you were comfortable in your unit. The view toward the golf course and mountains is definitely a sight to behold. We thank you for your candid remarks about its setup. We take each one into account as we plan ahead for future upgrades. We will definitely look forward to your next visit when your travels bring you back to the area!!

We love the Windrifter. We enjoy smaller resorts with charm and comfort and the Windrifter fits that bill. Aside from the comfort and location of the units (we enjoy the golf course location and the water front location), Wolfeboro is a great location for exploring the lake region, the White Mountains, or the coast.

My wife and I stayed in their newly renovated unit right on the lakes and the had the greatest time, there was so much to do in walking distance and the view of the lake (right outside of our room) could not be beat!

Most would not categorize this as a Resort;honestly I would not either because of it's age and it is a group of buildings bundled together to make up the Windrifter. Having said that; I have been taking a weekly visit for over ten years and love the "resort" and it's many amenities. I stay in the Yacht Club in a very modest studio that overlooks the Wolfeboro docks. From this vantage-point I am able to watch the Mount Washington make it's daily stops to pick up visitors. I pretty much leave my car parked for the week and walk to the shops, restaurants and trails from my unit. The is a nice indoor pool that is usually quiet when I visit (in May). I have also visited over New Year's Eve. to attend the First Night events and watch fireworks from the balcony. Not a fancy joint but always clean and well stocked. Staff is helpful, charming little town.

We are so glad to hear you enjoy your visits year after year. We cannot deny we are not like a lot of other resorts. The Windrifter is classified a "legacy resort" due to her age & history. A couple of the resort buildings (Villas & Yacht Club) are younger than the Main Inn, but still old enough to be considered "legacy". Which works out nicely being located in the historically quaint town of Wolfeboro, known as "America's Oldest Resort". So, while we are conscious of her vintage status, we have incorporated a number of modern conveniences for our guests, as well. So, thank you, again, for the kind words. We look forward to having you enjoy many more visits!
