On our trip through New Hampshire, we were lucky enough to stay in The Lake Motel in Wolfboro in the Lake House and it was gorgeous! We had a king bed that was very comfortable and an absolutely beautiful view of the Lake. It was very clean, peaceful and quaint. The owners, David and Karen, were so friendly and helpful. You could really tell they were very invested in their motel and that we enjoyed our stay. There is a restaurant on the corner of their driveway just a short walk away that was very nice. We are making sure this Motel is on our itinerary for our summer vacation. It was definately worth it!

Room Tip: Any room in the Lake House

This was actually our second stay here. We had visited Wolfeboro in September 2012, enjoyed it so much we decided to buy our next home there. So we stayed again at The Lake Motel when we came up for closing. They did not disappoint. In fact, they were just getting new furniture (we thought the old stuff was fine) and had a bonfire to get rid of the old.

Now that we're residents, we know where to send our overflow guests.

One note for cell phones: Verizon works best in Wolfeboro, our AT&T was really sketchy.

Room Tip: new section 2nd floor has king beds,1st floor is double queens. Stairs are outside, so be careful i...

We are from London, England and stayed in the Lake Motel in leaf peeping season 2012. We stayed in the top floor of the two storey new part of the motel. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. It had a kitchenette and is tastefully decorated. We had a large window overlooking the lake with a back door leading straight to the beach and lake 30 feet away. You can see for miles and it is spectacular. We walked up through the town of Wolfeboro & it is very quaint and worth a visit. The owner was friendly and enquired as to where we were from and he suggested we visit The Castle in the Clouds, which we did. He gave us easy to follow directions. We recommend the Lake Motel for any time of the year as it's so picturesque and the owners obviously care about the place.

Room Tip: Ask to be in the new two-storey section. Either floor. All good views of the lake from the back wind...

We stayed here in the off season (between leaf peeping and skiing) so it was very quiet. We had a room in the new section which was very nice. The room was large, very clean, and with a small kitchenette (sink, frig/freezer, large microwave but no stove). The room overlooked a big grassy lawn that slopes down to the lake. Although it was too cold to take advantage of the lake, the lakeside looked very nice - a small beach, kayaks and canoes and a gazebo. The manager was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is terrific - just 3/4 mile from restaurants. There is also a restaurant at the end of the driveway to the motel with great breakfast. I can imagine that this would be a very nice place to stay in the summer.

What a great discovery. We are in our 70s with some infirmities. Wanted to be in the sun, on the water as an anniversary treat.. Found The Lake Motel. GORGEOUS room(105) Bright, immaculate, airy. Pull up to front door, walk right in on the level.. Nice kitchenette with high end refrig w/separate freezer , microwave, coffee maker, dishes etc. Table and comfy chairs for sitting and reading. Desk.. 32" flat screen TV. Iron, blow dryer, extra pillows,Plenty of room to hang clothes or place suitcases. spacious bathroom.Pretty decor. Best of all you have a door out the back of the room that leads to chairs just outside your big windows that afford a constant view of the long sloping lawn outside the door that leads down to the beach and right into the water. Boats available and boat rides on season. Just beautiful with fall colors. We sat in the sun and enjoyed the afternoon at the waters edge. Our little Yorkshire Terrier was welcome there and thought he was in heaven being in the sun by the water.. Very nice restaurant up a little rise to the street level . We walked up. Very quiet place and the owners are sweethearts. Very nice to talk to and very accommodating. It is a lovely location and very reasonable prices too. The heating and AC unit is efficient and quiet. We are going to go back every year for our anniversary, now that we have discovered it. i HIGHLY recommend staying here.

Room Tip: The rooms 100 to 107 if I remember correctly ate the first floor rooms of the very new building. The...

We had a room in the new section which was nicely decorated and comfortable. We sat on our little patio with a lovely view of the lake and our glass of wine; doesn't get any better! The second day, after site seeing, we relaxed on the beach reading and watching families with kids enjoying the beach. The motel was situated close to the town of Wolfeboro which we thoroughly enjoyed visiting. The owners of the motel were very pleasant and helpful and talked about their plans for remodeling the motel. Their location is lovely with great views and we hope to return again.
