We went to the Inn the night before New Years Eve a very busy night as Wolfeboro has a first night that draws a lot of people into town. While our dinner was fine we were appalled at the entrance ways into the Inn. The handicapped ramp had a tiny shovel width pass the length of the ramp, hardly a gracious welcome to our party, it was so awkward we decided to risk the front stairs and sadly they also were very icy. Regardless to say first impressions do matter, and besides that the Inn is very lucky that no one was injured.

We had dinner there on a Thursday night at 7 in the middle of August. The restaurant was not clearly marked, inside or out. It was empty - only one other table was filled. The service and food were fine - not spectacular, but good. However, they said that in a few weeks they are completely changing to an Italian style bistro. So, give it try and let us all know. We will be back in town next summer.

We stayed at the Inn and checked to find a good time for dinner as the town was crowded. We arrived at 7 15 pm as we were told that would be a good time. Not to many patrons were in the dining room(only two other tables) , but we were there until 9:45 pm! The wait for our entrees was much too long. The meal, salad and appy's were very good and the waitress was very apologetic for the delay. Just make sure you have some extra time.

I made a reservation for 6:00 pm on Friday June 28. We were going to see Cheryl Wheeler's show at 7:30 pm out back in the barn and wanted plenty of time to eat. Arrived at 6:00 pm. Could not tell how to get in to the building as nothing was clearly marked. Found our way in and was not greeted by anyone. wandered around a bit and finally asked the bar tender if she was the one to seat us. Gave her my name and she did not have a reservation for me. About five minutes later she seated us. We waited 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. I finally went back out to the bar and asked if someone could please wait on us. A girl with a different colored blouse than the rest of them (bar staff maybe?) asked us what we wanted. We placed our order and a salad (no bread) came out within 5 minutes. 15 minutes later when we saw her again (our water glasses were now empty) I asked if we could please have some bread. She went into the kitchen and returned immediately with rolls. We sat and sat and sat and realized we were not going to be served in time to see the show. (There were at least 20 people ahead of us not eating yet) I cancelled the order and left. By now the show was packed and we could only find a seat in the balcony where you could see nothing.
The Bistro itself is set up very poorly. There is absolutely no atmosphere at all. It looks more like a dining hall for a dorm. The prices were high for where we were. The service staff looked like they had little to no experience as servers.

Overall the dinner experience was very positive. The Tuna was great, and the salads were perfect with the dressing on the side. The fish and chips were not very hot. The service was very good. And the management, when told of the fish and chips, said they would take them off the bill. This is what to expect of a very good restaurant. We will be back to this restaurant in the future.
