“Typical diner fare”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

We ate dinner at Grandma's a couple of days before Thanksgiving 2012. We decided to try Grandma's based on the outstanding reviews so perhaps the bar was set too high. Dinner was okay, not bad but nothing I would rave about either. The service was good, and like I say in the title it was typical diner fare. I'll stick with Monroe's which is about 10 miles to the south on Route 3 in Twin Mountain. I think the food is a little bit better and I can have a beer if I'm in the mood. Also, make sure you bring cash since Grandma's doesn't take credit cards.

“A good alternative to resorts”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 8, 2013

A decent place for a less expensive option when you are staying at a nearby resort. We ate breakfast and lunch here a couple times during our week vacation. Cash only. Good value option.

“Great Diner Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2013

We were staying at the big yellow hotel up the street and didn't want to spend a boat-load of cash on breakfast so we went to Grandma's Kitchen (and told kids not to play with the jellies). Really good food, simple diner service (not crowded, so food was quick). Kids got the small portion of pancakes, which were huge and plenty big enough. My wife got a veggie scramble and I had hash and eggs, all were very good!! Highly recommended

“Your standard breakfast diner”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

We stopped in for breakfast. Friendly enough staff, food came out quick. It's your standard breakfast and really not a lot more. Given the area and the lack of choices, it's certainly nice to have the option to go out for breakfast. This place was a decent value as their prices were good but like many local yokel places, the locals seemed to get an extra level of service. We had already been served when another group were seated and the waitress came over and went over all their specials, some of which sounded quite good. Too bad we weren't even told there were specials or given the option to order any. I'd still go back if we were in the area for a quick breakfast if I were passing through.
