We greatly enjoyed the atmosphere and ambiance of this beautifully restored old time treasure.
The grounds are well kept and the scenes are wonderful.
The room was large, Quiet, well appointed and clean. The piano player in the lobby added a nice touch. The service of the young and mostly exchange student servers was efficient. It was interesting to get their perspective on the experience they were having. I enjoyed riding in the brass appointed 1931 elevator.

Room Tip: Although the third floor is a walk-up, the rooms facing the front of the hotel have great views.

Dear Arnold F,
We appreciate you sharing your experience with us! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at the Resort and your kind remarks about the staff are valued. Our elevator is one of the oldest, fully operating elevators in NH and is certainly one of the many things about our Resort we are proud of. We hope to see you return in the future.

Check in was fast. Room was on first floor, back side. Floors are uneven and bathroom could use some repairs, eg tiles missing near baseboards. The rooms are old but renovated. That still means old school air conditioner units in the windows. We noticed the unit wasn't sealed entirely. That would explain some of the bugs ins our room. I killed a moth at midnight right above our bed.

Bed was amazingly comfortable. Nice linens. Would have liked luxury bath products instead of generic offerings.

Dinner in tavern was awesome. Portions were huge and reasonably priced.

Outdoor pool and golf course were great to have.

Very nice old hotel, views are outstanding. Lot's of family activity
food and service hit or miss, one year bad but this year ok.
We had a suite and only one room had ac, this was corrected
next day. My only suggestion, bring our own pillows, the hotel
should have a bond fire with the ones on the beds.
D.M.

Room Tip: only one old elevator so if you do not like stairs book 2nd. floor, we booked 3rd. floor so would not have noise overhead and the stairs were not to bad.

We really enjoyed our stay which was precipitated by groupon. Great value with groupon and would stay again for similar rate. The property is beautiful but off the beaten path, which could be a down side for some. We ate all our meals at the country club outside dining area which was very nice and reasonably priced. Great for families and couples! Would definitely come again for the right price!

Room Tip: Best views are on the front side but we stayed in the back and it was very quiet.

We found this hotel by chance and it was a winner! Our room was spacious and immaculate. We had a magnificent view of the mountains. The staff and guests were friendly. It was fun to visit a beautifully run family resort. It's low key, quiet with plenty of activities for everyone. Meals were excellent and well priced. We loved the veranda where we read, played games, and relaxed. You won't be sorry you chose this special spot for a romantic getaway or a family reunion.
