This beach is convenient if you are staying in Weirs Beach, otherwise you have to pay $10 to park in the lot or pay a meter on the street. There is a large bathroom/changing area, but I don't remember seeing showers. There are lifeguards on duty, but they don't seem especially vigilant to me. The beach is wide with fine sand. The water is crystal clear with a firm, sandy bottom. There are a few large rocks underwater, otherwise, no weeds or other items. The view of the mountains is spectacular as you swim or sit on the beach. There is a channel next to the beach with boats constantly coming and going. The swim area is quite large and the depth goes up to about 6 feet. The only thing I found disappointing was the amount of trash in the water and on the beach. I found various pieces of glass washing in that were still fairly sharp on the edges, a couple of band-aids, a McDonald's bag disintegrating into many papery pieces, several plastic cups, and bits of this and that. I guess in that beautiful setting I expected pristine conditions, but when you add hoardes of people, you will get those that just don't take care to manage their stuff. Overall, a nice beach. And directly across the street is a small waterpark/mini golf where you can buy a pass for all day at $35 and come and go to the beach.
