The food, the staff and the location is the best in the Valley. We always eat here if we aren't cooking in the room at Black Bear Lodge. Get a table looking over Corcoran's Pond at sunset (ask for table #10) and you won't be disappointed. My family had dinner there one night and we watched the moon rise over the mountains. The prices are reasonable (there is a Lighter Fare menu with burgers, etc.), the food is excellent and the place has the best view.

We ate here for our second night at Waterville Valley. The food was okay but nothing to write home about. I ordered the steak tips, my husband got the pork - it automatically came with mashed potatoes (and bland ones at that) - no choice of a type of potato or rice. It makes me think that they whip a huge batch for night to efficient and cut costs. The veggies were sparse and overcooked. The kids got the haddock which they enjoyed but $12 for a kids meal is a little steep!

Can't beat location, though, it was nice to not have to drive somewhere else for food but seriously the food was not worth the price.

We go to Diamond's Edge once a year. Overall we were pleased with our meal, but the prices are higher than they should be for the quality of the food. My son ordered a burger for $9, but the fries were $3 extra. A fish dish was $25 and just average. While it is quieter than the Coyote Grill, it is because Coyote has better food at a lower cost. It does have a great view of the water and mountains. The service was adequate but the waitress was very cold almost to the point of being rude. There are better options in Waterville or nearby Plymouth.

Every one in a while Diamonds starts to bet better food but the summer of 2012 we can say the food quality has moved to pathetic. I recently had a pasta and chicken dish that stunk. You can tell the "grilled chicken" was recently defrosted highly processed food service chicken. The sauce was a milky bland goo. It's really too bad it's walking distance from our condo, the views are great, the staff is nice but the kitchen is a failure. Go for drinks only. they need a real chef, a new name and to start over.

The food was okay. Seriously nothing spectacular but when you consider that it is in the middle of nowhere and that is is reasonably priced, I was actually pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is upstairs, right outside of the square. We sat and ate dinner by the open window as we listened to live music. It was a good experience. But with that said, If I was to rate this restaurant only on the food and it was anywhere near boston, I would have given it two star. So don't expect amazing italian food. But it is decent, reasonable and a great location.
