We ate at the bar! James provided great service. Food was excellent! And we watched the Patriots with a last minute win!

We had a very average non-memorable meal here, and the service was not particularly good. Try The Coyote Grill instead (a 2 minute drive away)

My family has been vacationing in Waterville Valley for almost 20 years and were big fans of Diamonds Edge North in Town Square. When we heard that the restaurant had changed hands and was now called The Lantern, we were concerned that it would not be as good, but we were pleasantly surprised. The location can't be beat, on the second floor of Town Square with great views of Corcoran's Pond and the mountains beyond, but the food and the service is what keeps us coming back. The menu had changed quite a bit but there was still an excellent selection to satisfy my family's varied dietary needs. (Food allergies, etc.) Our waitress Lyndsey was very pleasant and helpful and the meals that we had there were excellent. This is truly the best restaurant in Waterville Valley!

Had the feel of an upscale restaurant. Our server was friendly and they tried to be accommodating by lighting our candle on the table. Nice views from the seats by the windows, but the wind blew out the candle, lol. The menu is a little limited in selection and on the expensive side, but the food was good. There was music that night, which was an added bonus. Would recommend checking it out and probably better or a couple or adult dinner.
