Sean Stout is an excellent chef and only uses the best local and organic products. My favorites are the excellent meats (steak, veal, lamb) and fresh shellfish (mussels and oysters). For those who want to try something different, there are temptations such as the buffalo meatloaf and the shrimp risotto. My children enjoy the hamburgers, chicken fingers and quesadillas from the Kids Menu.
Last night, I had one of the best meals of my life there: fondu (white wine, garlic, gruyere, etc.), a side of grilled shrimp and a cesar salad. Lynn, my favorite server, explained to me how the fondu was made and recommended an excellent full bodied cabernet to accompany it.
The bar is also incredibly fun. Nate makes the best martini in the Valley (shaken not stirred...). You will find a mix of local residents, ski instructors, weekend visitors and people of all ages in a friendly and relaxed ambience where people feel free to talk to someone they don't know.
As a local resident, I usually go there a couple of times a week and it is consistently fun and delicious.
