The outside of the building is huge! Grill outside the pool area. Pool is a bit small, but perfect for the kids and us. The rooms are perfect size and can accommodate a lot of people. Kitchen was perfect so we could cook all our meals. Perfect view of mountains too!!

All I can say is that we have had an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable visit to the Golden Eagle Lodge. The room we rented is spacious, comfortable and has all the amenities you need to be comfortable. The area is gorgeous and the outdoor activities are plentiful. I would always highly recommend staying here, the staff is professional and courteous and the atmosphere is fabulous. You are forced to relax here, and that is good.

Beautiful location. The exterior and landscaping were very pretty. The staff seemed bothered by check in and check out and weren’t very informative. It took us until the second night to figure out there was a path to the main town area tucked in the back. We had been packing everything in the car and driving around the block there. The portable AC was broken in the room. This probably normally wouldnt be an issue with the cooler air but the temps were in the high nineties making staying inside especially at night hard to handle. There were no snack machines available which bothered the kids although they did have soda/water. The freedom pass was great we used the pool/splash pad across the street. The pond was closed due to high algae which disappointed the kids who had wanted to try paddle board. Also they had wanted to try the rock climbing which was also closed. Overall, beautiful location and grounds, just suggest you go in the cooler weather and bring all of your food. Mulligans had good burgers albeit a bit pricey with the very nice servers appearing overwhelmed. Legends pub had a great and funny bartender who let the kids buy sundaes late and was very accommodating. They have fun/inexpensive arcade games for the kids with a beautiful spot on the river. Best part was sunset. Maybe a better place during ski season...

Great place to stay. Close to the mountain and village.
We stayed there a few times and both times the hot tubs were not working.
Shuttles to the mountains and friendly service.
Rooms adequate for weekend travel.

We spend 4th of July with friends here and have rented a condo for couple of days. If you like nature and are a fan of typical outdoor activities like mountain biking, hiking, tennis or easy golf, you will have it all in walking distance in an absolute friendly family environment. 4th of July fireworks is famous and has lasted 30 min. with a grand finale.
The place is clean, spacious and some of the condos are already a bit old fashioned and worn out. But for sure a worthy traditional resort with lots of history (birthplace of freestyle skiing) ideally suited for family vacations in Sommer and in Winter.
