We came across The Local when we took a break on our way from Boston to Stowe. I can honestly say that the folk in there must rate as the friendliest, most hospitable people you could hope to meet. We had only just arrived in the US and must have appeared a little tired and disorientated but they went out of there way to be really helpful and we had the best burgers and fries together with homemade coleslaw that we had all trip. If ever anyone is travelling along the 89 please call in at Warner and visit the Local. You will be assured of great food served by great people.
Thank you for making us so welcome. It was really appreciated.

Nice casual setting. Great variety on the menu, reasonable prices, friendly and efficient service. We all (4 of us) got some variation of pulled pork, and we all were happy with it. It is well-cooked and tasty. Portion sizes are generous here. My boyfriend was quite pleased with the beer list.

The afternoon ice cream treat is a New England staple. Skip it. Have the Local's "Bacon Bouquet" instead. It is a mouthwatering combination of smokehouse bacon, brown sugar and cayenne pepper served with a cup of locally produced maple syrup. I really needn't say more after that, but the bottom line is that the folks are friendly, the beer is cold and the food is good.

You will find better food in a garbage pail. Atmosphere is cold, bland and uninviting -- just like the food. Beer selection is good, but deserves a better setting. The menu looks tempting but only includes the words, "train wreck" in front of two items when it should be next to everything on the menu. If you leave a 6-year old alone in the kitchen, s/he will impress you more than the cook at The Lical.

We were told that The Local is a truly local restaurant by local peoples. It is a neat restaurant, where you can enjoy regular food with local veg@meats. Also you can buy a alcohol drink. The service is good, and the waitress is nice. I will be there when I have chance to visit Warner again.
