I am a huge fan of locally family owned motels(so there is my bias) so this place is no different. The motel was in a perfect location and the owners were extremely helpful in giving directions and pointing out good places to catch a meal. The motel rooms felt like we were in a log cabin with really nice upkeep with a cozy feeling. The price was also right. I would definitely stay here again.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Stayed in the motel part. Room was small, but adequate. Trail behind motel was good way to walk dog. Easy access to main roads. Would like to try a cottage there. Service was exceptional. Ability to take do g on vacation, very dog friendly motel.

Near to great hiking trails, food, amenities. Paul and Colleen were very nice and very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, the room was great. I loved the view of the mountains and sky from my room. I walked the dog twice a day on their beautiful trails behind the motel. People in the area are very friendly. A great place! I'll definitely go back soon!

For skiing the location couldn't be better, 12 mins to bretton woods or cannon. 18 min to Littleton for supplies and food.

Had cabin 3. It smelled just like grandma's cottage when we arrived. Hot water in shower is touchy either too hot or too cold, so I wouldn't recommend it for really young kids. Heat worked really well, cabin heated up very quickly. Futon was a bit hard but kids didn't care. Kitchen has all the supplies but knives were very dull (bring your own). Otherwise comfortable enough as a home base for local activities.

Get directions to Pondicherry rec trail for free Xc skiing, level bike riding for kids and good dog walking for older dogs.

Free neckerchief for my dog was a sweet touch.

Paul and Colleen were very welcoming and accomedating. We had a wonderful stay at the house and so did our dog. The House had everything needed to cook a Thanksgiving dinner, minus the food, but we were in Brettonwoods for a wedding. Old fashion charm and very clean. We were there in July and it was quite humid an air conditioner in any room would have been a plus while we were dressing. At last minute we needed an iron and was quickly provided by Paul and Colleen, very nice people. We did not get to see two of the rooms in the house, but the three bedrooms were clean, tasteful and comfortable. We will come back and stay here.

We always enjoy staying here for our skiing weekends. It is great to have a full kitchen so we don't have to go anywhere if we don't want to.
