My wife and I stayed here about 7 years ago to visit some relatives in New Hampshire, so with all of the buzz about the new renovations we decided to give it another shot. And we were glad we did! The staff, which is all family run, clearly has been keeping up with the place...new rooms are immaculate, nice big flat screen TVs, new white bedding and down comforters, several bathroom amenities, free Wi-Fi, and excellent maid service. We showed up on a Friday and left Sunday, so we had the opportunity to try out the restaurant. Honestly, I couldn't have been more pleased. I shared lobster with my wife Friday, had prime rib Saturday, and an amazing brunch on Sunday before we hit the road...and did I mention the room came with a free meal each night? Great staff, great location, great price, overall great experience. As a frequent traveler around New England, I would recommend the Shalimar Resort to anyone looking to spend time some quality time in central New Hampshire.

The Shalimar is showing its age. The room was clean enough. price was good. We requested a quiet second floor room. Were given a 1st floor immediately adjacent to the pool. the game room required each item such as the pool table to be paid for with change. Beach was across a busy street from the rooms. Not safe for children. The restaurant was not open during our visit. There were many acceptable eating alternatives within a short drive. Would do it again for the price...

Room Tip: double-check that you get the room requested

I have created so many heartfelt memories here with my family and friends. From the lakeside property in the summer to the warm hot tub in the summer, Shalimar is the perfect place to spend your vacation. An ideal location for all sorts of activities. In one direction you find great shopping and in the other great slopes, lots of activities for a family with lots of interests! With all the great things to do surrounding Shalimar, you'll certainly need to gear up for the day or refuel after all your adventures. The Sunday brunch selection will sure to keep you full and happy all day long. At night, the dining room serves all your favorites and provides karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays. Such a fun thing to do with all your friends! Shalimar is the perfect place to come and appreciate all that NH has to offer!

They are all so nice. Rooms were clean and well appointed. They have a free continental breakfast M-Sat- make your own waffles, delicious muffins, bagels English muffins, cereal, coffee tea and a paper to read. Great atmosphere. The lounge, bar and restaurant serve wonderful meals from Lobster to prime rib and everything in between. They have a wonderful buffet on Sundays. Great place to go and chill out or stay and then shop at the outlets.. We stayed in the fall, but the have beach and lake activities, and an indoor pool with Jacuzzi for the cold times. Highly recommend

Room Tip: The front rooms overlooking the lake from your porch or patio are wonderful
