The Shalimar is showing its age. The room was clean enough. price was good. We requested a quiet second floor room. Were given a 1st floor immediately adjacent to the pool. the game room required each item such as the pool table to be paid for with change. Beach was across a busy street from the rooms. Not safe for children. The restaurant was not open during our visit. There were many acceptable eating alternatives within a short drive. Would do it again for the price...

Room Tip: double-check that you get the room requested

I have created so many heartfelt memories here with my family and friends. From the lakeside property in the summer to the warm hot tub in the summer, Shalimar is the perfect place to spend your vacation. An ideal location for all sorts of activities. In one direction you find great shopping and in the other great slopes, lots of activities for a family with lots of interests! With all the great things to do surrounding Shalimar, you'll certainly need to gear up for the day or refuel after all your adventures. The Sunday brunch selection will sure to keep you full and happy all day long. At night, the dining room serves all your favorites and provides karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays. Such a fun thing to do with all your friends! Shalimar is the perfect place to come and appreciate all that NH has to offer!

They are all so nice. Rooms were clean and well appointed. They have a free continental breakfast M-Sat- make your own waffles, delicious muffins, bagels English muffins, cereal, coffee tea and a paper to read. Great atmosphere. The lounge, bar and restaurant serve wonderful meals from Lobster to prime rib and everything in between. They have a wonderful buffet on Sundays. Great place to go and chill out or stay and then shop at the outlets.. We stayed in the fall, but the have beach and lake activities, and an indoor pool with Jacuzzi for the cold times. Highly recommend

Room Tip: The front rooms overlooking the lake from your porch or patio are wonderful

We stayed here a few times, on a corporate rate. The location is perfect, the rooms however, not so clean. Our first stay, two of the housekeepers barged in our room because my son was crying in his crib, we specifically noted NO ROOM SERVICE, one of the girls rudely asked if everything was ok like we were neglecting him. We
weren't happy. Everything about this hotel is CHEAP! The towels are tiny, the beds are stiff, and they deffinitely need PEST CONTROL. The only reason we stopped staying here is because one of the front desk ladies charged us for an extra room we didnt need and they didn't even give us a room key in which i would have used those pillows or towels, or whatever. Sharon, who is the owner and Manager of this hotel, I hope that $76 was worth losing thousands of dollars that we will be paying the Super 8 from now until March, we were given a $55 rate and they are bending over backwards to accommodate us, they understand that since we're working for wal mart, any time we cancel a reservation or even stop in to get a room (when they were sold out) we still got a room. That's exceptional customer service! All in all, this place only cares about making a few bucks they don't care about maintaining and keeping the facility immaculate. They obviously don't care about guest loyalty either or I wouldn't be writing this review.

My husband and I spent Columbus day weekend there this year. We had a very comfortable and pleasant experience. Upon checking in we received coupons for dinners and brunch. They were buy one get one. A very nice and unexpected surprise! The food was great as was the service. After dinner there was karaoke in the pub. A lot of fun with a mix of locals and guests. When we were not out and about, we played pool, spent time in the hot tub and pool or just sat on our balcony looking over to the lake. The beds were quite comfy and the room was spacious. All of the employees were quite helpful and nice. We are planning on going back next year as well.

My husband and I spent October 12 (our 22nd anniversary at the Shalimar "Resort" First of all, the pictures of the rooms on the website are not an accurate representation of all of the rooms. Our room was supposed to be non-smoking. There was a sign on the door and everything BUT when we went in we were assailed with an overwhelming stench of stale cigarette smoke. Our bed did not have a headboard and the room was dingy with water damage evident and not the most clean room I have ever been in. Our room had a lovely view of the parking lot. We went out for our dinner train and on the way back we bought some Fabreeze (the stuff that is supposed to make dumpsters smell good) to try and make the room smell better. I used about 3/4 of the bottle and it made a little bit of a difference. But it didn't matter because the stench returned midway through our sleepless night on the hard uncomfortable mattress. We would have been better off sleeping in our car, but we paid $119.00 for this one very unpleasant night!

Room Tip: Don't accept a non smoking room that smells like smoke
