Camped here for a couple of nights this week and took the last site available. Hard place to get a site during the summer and most sites are pretty decent and somewhat private. The lake is not just for the campers as this is a state park and the lot fills up to capacity early on the weekends due to the huge beach area that has picnic tables and play areas for kids as well as kayak rentals, sailboats, hot showers, bathrooms and the clearest water of most lakes. You can go up to your neck and still see your toes. Little or no weeds either, just white sand below your feet. The lake was warm and no lake smell.
The only negative is the noise not being enforced too well after 10pm. Had adult campers that had little consideration for others that gabbed fairly loud until 1am. Rude people you'll find everywhere unfortunately.
