“Unusual options but very well prepared at a fair price.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2014

The pancakes here are exceptionally unique and good. They have many choices of unusual flavors (cornmeal coconut was surprisingly the best of mine) you can mix and match and all were prepared excellently well. The service is strong. The seating is a bit crowded but what you would expect from a unique place offering very good food. Polly's was labeled a "can't miss" by several recommendations and it lived up to the label.

“Fun pancake experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2014

Just before leaving for the White Mountains, I ran into a friend who declared Polly's a "don't miss" stop. She advised the prices are higher than our local breakfast places but declared it worth the price for the atmosphere and quality food. She was right. We were glad we visited. We called ahead and were advised to arrive in 90 minutes. It was busy and we still had a short wait; however it is a pleasant locale and the area is lovely. We ordered the sampler platter and had our choice of 3 types of pancakes with mix-ins and choice of breakfast meat. The bacon was delicious. While all 3 pancakes I sampled (plain, whole grain and cornmeal) were delicious, the cornmeal were my favorite. We were served 3 pancakes and then upon completing those were served a second batch of the same pancakes we had ordered. It was nice not to have an overwhelmingly large plate of food and a delight to have a second batch arrive hot and ready to eat at the appropriate time. The maple products served with the pancakes were delicious. For those who are not pancake fans, there were a number of other breakfast options available.

“Love this place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2014 via mobile

I absolutely love this place. It's cozy, unique, beautiful, a family tradition, historical, memorable... And on top of all that- it has pancakes and sugar! Really... Ya can't beat it! It's my second visit there and it gets more delicious every time!

“A gem . . . .”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2014

This restaurant should be a stop on any trip through the area even if you aren't hungry. That being said . . . the food was fantastic. Polly's manages to be innovative even with simple breakfast foods. Everything was delicious and despite being a tourist attraction all onto itself, the prices were very reasonable. I've read about the long waits but we got there on the early side and had no trouble getting a table. You will not be sorry . . . . .

“Good pancakes, awkward seating”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2014

We visited Polly's Pancake Parlor on a Fri. morning (July 4th wknd) and called ahead when we got off the highway (we saw that suggested somewhere). They put our name on the list and at that point the wait was probably 25-30 min. We arrived around 11am and had a short wait which is when they explained that because there was only 2 of us, that they seat people together during busier times. Fine by us, but it turned out kind of strange. They seated us with a couple who sat next to each other so we were forced to sit the same way and directly across from them. No introductions, just lots of affection exchanged between them as this was their first wknd away as a new couple. Our waitress was great & it was cool to see her actually preparing our pancakes. The pancakes were decent and you could choose different batters (we liked the orig. best with blueberries), we just didn't think it was the best we've had and with the guy across from us groaning after each bite and the woman deciding it was fine to pull out her phone & call her dad, we kept thinking the candid cameras were going to come out. By the time we got our food, there were at least 3 empty tables so we just wish we could have gotten one of those. We realize our experience is probably an exception, and we are glad we got to try Polly's, but doubt we would go back.
