I spent a week at the Mt. Washington B&B. It was fantastic! I was traveling throughout the White Mountains as part of a photo shoot in October. The autumn colors were superb and so were my accommodations. I put in long days driving, hiking, exploring, and shooting photographs. It was nice to return in the evenings to fresh brownies and hot tea. Mary Ann is a great source of information for obscure roads, peak autumn conditions, whatever.... She was always pleasant as were the other guests. The breakfasts were always tasty cooked with fresh, local ingredients. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Mary Ann's B&B is comfortable and clean. It has all sorts of nice touches, the hot drinks that are always available, the afternoon snacks, the cheery fire that crackles as you eat a really tasty breakfast. But, to me, the place is a gem because Mary Ann is so dedicated to her guests. She has a knack for figuring out which snack you'd like best, whether you're in the mood for company or quiet time, and what would make you especially comfortable; then she provides it without any fuss.

Mary Ann knows her corner of the world. We wanted a place to snowshoe, she told us of a great place not more than 10 minutes away. The next day, we wanted to cross-country ski, preferably someplace new. She directed us to a fabulous place 20 minutes away. Each night, we'd come up with a different type of restaurant we were in the mood for and Mary Ann knew just were we should go.

The icing on the cake was when we told her how much we liked her coasters and that we wished we had a set. She told us where to find them and, if they were out-of-stock, offered to send them along when they came in.

During our trip home, the first topic of conversation was when we were going to be able to come back. This from people who love to try new things really says something about how happy we were at the Mt. Washington Bed and Breakfast.

Mary Ann has a way of making you feel like family. She bends over backwards to make you as comfortable as possible. This was our second visit and we plan to make a December trip for our Christmas tree (kicking off our Christmas holiday right!) annually!! The rooms are cozy and the coffe/tea/hot chocolate bar is fabulous...complete with the star shaped peppermint flavored peeps!! We love her and her home!

My dad and I stayed here for 2 nights while hiking in the White Mountains. We found the experience charming, comfortable, and distinctly enjoyable, and would strongly recommend it to all others!

The guest rooms are quaint, clean, and well-decorated. Breakfast was delicious, and Mary Ann was helpful and accomodating regarding all aspects of our stay, including our wet return from a rainy hike.

Those horrible comments about this place are ridiculous.. A pull out sofa couch uncomfortable.. DUH! What adult does not know that?! The one year out of the seven I've been coming here I opted to sleep on the pullout when I shared the suite with a friend I was WARNED by the innkeeper that it wasn't a wise choice. Put your children on the pullout and sleep in the bed. This wonderful place deserves 5 stars.
What you get?- A delicious breakfast cooked for you! Sweets in your room in the afternoon or stop by the dining area for tea, the hot water and treats will be out.
Silence. There are TV's in all the rooms but they are there to play the DVD's and VCR tapes offered in the front room.
Cozy and Quaint- the rooms are adorably done, very cozy and the farmhouse is very old itself so it has its own wonderful charm.
The innkeeper is awesome.. what ever you need... just ask. You'll make yourself a friend! She loves to talk!
You can't go wrong here... give it a try for a quiet respite. Stay here for the big hike!
Lovely!

This has to be the best place in the world to stay. You are always treated like family. The breakfasts that Mary Ann makes are fantastic. I love the afternoon baked goods she makes. We love coming as often as possible because of the atmosphere she has created. It is nice to sit together as a family and watch a movie as my son can not get his cartoon network. Thank god for that. We can relax on the porch and read. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants that little extra. I am already trying plan another stay.

We stayed here on the weekend of Oct. 27th and 28th, 2006. We loved it! The location is absolutely gorgeous. The Inn itself is beautiful- wonderfully decorated, homey, and cozey. The prices are very appropriate- we would have paid more! Our suite was very clean and so pretty. The Innkeeper Mary Ann is as friendly as they come, as well as very knowledgeable about the area. She can tell you all the things to do and see during your stay, or you can stay put and relax and enjoy her great homemade cookies. We were particularly enamored of her delicious breakfasts! The "Ghosts and Goblins" tour was a blast. We can't wait to come back- and we surely will.
