The Lake House is a cozy and tasteful 10-room Victorian style inn with wonderful views of Lake Winnisquam from most rooms. We had a simple room that suited our single night perfectly. There was ample space to move around, a great new bed and our own bath across the hall (for which they provide fluffy terrycloth robes). Along with fresh baked cookies when we arrived in the evening there was a nice selection of self-serve tea and coffee in the breakfast room and a welcome package in the room with snacks and necessities. They've also thought to provide a small refrigerator on the second floor for guests to use. The location is a great base for many activities; we went for a hike the next day (well rested) then returned to the inn for a swim. We enjoyed the company of the hosts, John and Cindy, who were generous with their time, and especially the breakfasts they serve: wow. We prepared for the hike with a hearty breakfast of a fruit cup, tiny pumpkin muffins, and a quiche-like main dish with a side of asparagus in Hollandaise. Nothing to want. Wish we had more time to spend here.

Thank you for your kind words. We enjoyed having you stay with us, and hope to see you both again soon. Although the lake is cooling off, it is still great for swimming, and should be for a few weeks still. We are glad you had an enjoyable stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights and wish it could have been more. John and Cindy were wonderful hosts with plenty of recomendations for places to eat and things to do. But in the end what we enjoyed most was just sitting by the lake. Even the room we stayed in, the Winnesquawm Room, had 2 over stuffed chairs that were perfect for sitting by the open window overlooking the lake. We also got to take out the 2 kayaks provided by the B&B for a relaxing morning paddle around the lake. Can't wait to get back for another getaway.

Room Tip: The Winnesquawm Room has the perfect comfy chairs for sitting to read while overlooking the lake. There is some noise when the windows are open from the cars that go by.

Was in town for a nearby race and couldn't have found a more tranquil, restful setting with the most accommodating innkeepers! The whole family pulled through for myself and my guests as we required the non-traditional VERY early morning accommodations as well as last-minute assistance for unexpected circumstances! The family's genuine concern for our situation made for a grateful and stress-free weekend! Wonderful people! Most especially, daughter Libby, who was a sweetheart and a true savior! :) The inn's atmosphere was was very charming and clean. Extremely welcoming from the outside as well! It boasts a very peaceful outdoor gazebo and a grassy area for which to kick back and take in the beauty of Lake Winnisquam, both sights and sounds! Breakfast was wonderful, as were the "always available" cookies and coffee/tea!

Thank you for your kind words Paul. We were happy that we could find a solution for your particular circumstances. It was a pleasure having you as our guest, and we look forward to your being able to return when you don't have a race to run and can sit back and relax by the lake!

John and Cindy surpassed all our expectations! The hospitality and the location are a must experience. The multi course breakfasts were super delicious, there were always fresh cookies next to the coffee in the dining room, all the dinner recommendations were fantastic and the rooms are too lovely to describe. The atmosphere is just so calming and relaxing, from the moment you step onto the large shaded porch, I did not want to leave! Located right on the lake, you can hear the gentle waves if you leave the window open at night (which we did). Can't wait to make it back up, hopefully for more than a week end! I am afraid any other B&B I'll ever visit will have a hard time living up to the stay at the Lake House at Ferry Point!

Room Tip: Any an all rooms we looked at are wonderful. There are lake view and garden view rooms, you can look at the pictures from the website and book right from there!

Simone, Thank you for your kind words. We look forward to having you come and run a "fitness boot camp" for a weekend. And if not that, just to come and relax and enjoy the lake!

Having ridden from Vermont, this was our first stay in New England this trip. Bad news for all the subsequent stays, because this one is a PEARL. A beautiful old house, superbly restored, with a location to die for. Any closer to the tranquil lake and you'd risk being wet!

Family-run, with splendid little touches (home baked biscuits, endless *good* coffee, nibbles in the rooms) and beautiful English-style rooms, filled with period furniture. No TV's in the rooms (for me a +ve) but a lovely guest sitting room with TV, board games, magazines, comfy chairs and sofas, and a view of the lake.

This really is quite literally faultless in terms both of hospitality and appointments. Don't hesitate- book it. If not you'll regret it. Not now, but soon, and for the rest of your life....

Morgan and Anne, thank you for such kind words. We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us, and are looking forward to your quick return. We are also looking forward to more of your stories and hearing about how your trip has been going in the rest of New England. See you soon.
