Spent a week there in late September. Retro type of place reminded me of vacations as a child. Spotless clean and quiet. Beth and Steve were great hosts! See you again next year!

We stayed here for a couple nights while vacationing -- loved part of it, but other things were confusing and disappointing. I had reserved a 2BR suite and a studio efficiency, but found when I got there that the 2BR suite wasn't available -- Steve, the manager, acknowledged that he must have made a mistake. Not a big deal, but when one thing fails to meet your expectations you begin to look for other surprises. One was that this is what they call a "housekeeping" motel -- rooms are not cleaned and made up during the day, and we were surprised to return to find our beds unmade. Again, not a big deal -- but it seems like that sort of thing should be communicated better than it is on the website, where it's mentioned only on one page. My mother was on the trip, and that knowledge might have made a difference in where we stayed. We left the towels outside our door to get replacements, as instructed -- and then when that didn't happen had to hunt down Steve to get new towels. I thought our bathroom could have stood a scrubbing -- the bathtub and the window were white with soap scum. The good points: the rooms are attractive, nicely decorated and very comfortable, and the entire place has a very nice appearance. The location is wonderful, right across the road from the ocean, although it's not especially convenient to many restaurants and other amenities. There was no information in the rooms on local attractions, restaurants, etc. which would have been helpful to us in making plans. Steve gave me directions to one pizza place that we never found -- of course, that could have been my fault. Overall, I thought this a fairly nice place and a good value, despite the things I found disappointing.

Great place to relax and enjoy New Hampshire. We opted to stay here from other reviews, and they are accurate. Rooms a bit retro, a nice change from the major chains. Awesome flower gardens. Beth, owner, was pulling weeds when we checked out. Lots of local history she will share with you. Wish we had another night or two to stay there.

On our way up the east coast, we stayed here for one night. I wish it had been a week! The rooms were SO homey and had touches of home...not the typical hotel towels, soaps, bedspreads, etc. The flowers and plants around the property were amazing too! The management was easy going and friendly. I'm ready to go back SOON!

New Hampshire only has about 20 miles of Atlantic coastline, and this is right along it. Route 1A is the coast road, Pebble Cove is on the west side of it and the Atlantic Ocean is on the east side of it. The room was bright and cheerful, and was actually like a little apartment, with a full kitchen and dining table, besides the comfy bed. There is also a swimming pool, which I found quite cold. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and the flowers all around the property were beautiful.

When I say the ocean is right across the street, you can't really see it from your room, because there are high dunes or something between the road and the water, but a quick little jaunt up the dune gets you to the beach. Caution - this is NOT a swimming beach right here - VERY rocky. But there are several state park beaches just down the road. There are also a couple of good seafood restaurants just a few miles down the coast, and just north (maybe 10-15 minutes drive) is the quaint town of Portsmouth, with some great restaurants.

We were here for only two nights, and my husband said he wished we could have stayed longer - this is only the second time he's ever said this at a vacation location - the other time was in Hawaii!
