Our short but amazing NH seacoast is a must see for any traveler and resident alike. There is amazing US and local history on the grounds of Seacoast Science Center as well as unique educational experiences for adults, and families with teens or younger children. Come dressed for tide pooling, or strap your bikes on the back of the car. A bike ride down the coast and back is great way to see it all. Check the website for current events. The programs offered on marine life as well as evening musical offerings are hugely popular with the locals. Come have fun.

It's reasonable and interesting for you and the kids! They have some great exhibits and the touch tank is fun! Perfect for a rainy day because it is indoors and the ocean is quite a sight too!

This is a wonderful place. It grew out of collaboration with the University of New Hampshire and is a wonderful place for kids and their parents to learn about the Gulf of Maine!

We visited Seacoast Science Center for the first time this weekend and really enjoyed it. First, the location is great -- at a state park right on the water. Being that it was March, it was a bit too chilly to explore the trails. But in summertime it would be great to walk around, explore tide pools and even picnic by the water. We also noticed a playground which would be a good stop after visiting the center.

Inside the center we especially enjoyed the tide pool touch tank and Gulf of Maine exhibit (lots of fish to look at). There's also a boat that kids can climb on and a replica of a boat's command console.

All in all, a great educational day trip from the Boston area and we'll be sure to return in summer.
