“Not for veggie lovers”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

Came here for lunch and dinner for large family gathering. I have to say that I enjoyed the service more than the food though. For lunch I had the stir fry. I'm sure they would have given me something else if I had complained, but I was enjoying the gathering too much to worry about it really. My complaint would have been that there were not enough veggies, they were cooked too much (stir fry should have crisp but hot veggies), and the sauce was too strong...like it came from a bottle. I was trying to be healthy, but this dish missed it across the board. Now, the 12oz prime rib (19.99) I had for dinner was a winner (got it medium rare). I could've gone with the 10oz though since I didn't have anywhere to take the leftovers (most of us were from out of town). The caesar salad was heavy with dressing at lunch, but just right at dinner, so if you're picky...get it on the side. Prime rib, caesar side salad and glass of wine $44.

“great food and atmosphere!”

Never unsatisfied when visiting this eatery. The food is quite good and you find something that you don't like, the staff is very attentive to correct. A definite experience you will enjoy.

“Good food and service”
Reviewed April 13, 2014

We have visited the Granite Steak several times mostly for lunch, but sometimes for dinner. The food has always been consistently good, and the service pleasant and always accommodating. The portions are good, not gourmet size, and good quality. The beef has always tasted great without all the tenderizers that many of the chain restaurants use. Great family place and even better for seniors upstairs, and good lounge area downstairs.

“A local favorite”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

I always go to the pub downstairs. Its less casual and offers the same extensive menu. The atmosphere is lively and is always good for a football game. I recommend the sandwiches.

It took a long time for this building thrive. It had many names before GS&G took ownership. The trip out of town is now worth it. For those going up to Lake Winnipesaukee, this restaurant could not be in a more convenient location.
