“Don't understand why people like this ice cream”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2011

This does not taste homemade at all to me. It tasted like something scooped out of a frozen gallon at the grocery store. Very nice people, horrible ice cream. This is nothing how real cream, ice cream should taste.

“Ice Cream by the tugboats”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2010

I like Annabelle's. But I like Izzy's too. The advantage of Annabelle's is that it's open year round and their competition is only open in the summer. The disadvantage is that you have to walk past Izzy's to get to Annabelle's.

If you're in town on a hot day, it doesn't get better than Annabelle's. The sizes aren't as big as they are when you get out of the city, but that's true for anything you'll buy in Portsmouth. Have an ice cream, relax, watch the bridge go up and down and the tugboats pushing ships around. That's what Portsmouth is about.

“World Class Frozen Treats on the Dock”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2009

Stop whetever you are doing if you are within driving distance of Portsmouth, NH and get your butt down to the dock to taste the best ice cream in New England. No question about it, if you don't experience Annabelle's ice cream you have not experienced a little slice of heaven on earth. In fact, have some ice cream then walk around town for awhile. Then, go back for more! Forget the beer. Forget the lobster. Just go to Annabelle's and eat ice cream.

With an endless line and flavors like peanut butter fantasy, you must try this ice cream. It's homemade, creamy, and absolutely worth every calorie.
