Not a seafood person but felt like eating healthy! THE BEST baked haddock, ever. As if it jumped out of the ocean, onto the plate. Large portions, lovely staff. If you have an opportunity to visit, don't pass it up.

Have passed by this restaurant for decades and finally stopped in on a friday night. The restaurant and the Bratskellar-bar/casual dining was packed. Cars parked all around and next door. Our server Brittany was great, knowledgeable, freindly and quick with the courses. We both went with fish entrees which come with 2 sides. Started out w French onion soup and clam chowder. Onion Soup excellent with a nice broth, lots of onion and cheese. Clam chowder was OK though I have had better. Broiled seafood plate included 4 medium scallops, and sole, haddock and swordfish. All were cooked just right and not dried out. The stuffed haddock was excellent as well and it was a huge serving. My sides were the sauteed baby spinach w garlic and lemon and a demi salad w parmesan peepercorn dressing. Great portions and great value considering we ordered fish entrees which are usually higher priced on any menu. One cocktail, no beverages, 2 soups, 2 seafod entrees w 2 sides each came to a bit over $60 w tax. Generous tip added for the great service.
A bit of trivia. The restaurant sits right next door to a river that has a tendency to flood the parking lot during high tide surges. Not sure if it has been resolved since the last incident but all was well and delicious when we dined there. Going to definitley be back to sample the lighter bar fare in the Bratskellar since the kitchen when I get out of work round 8pm on some nights.

Thank you for stopping in after all of those years! Don't worry, we won't hold your hesitation against you, especially after this kind and detailed review.

I apologize I'm just getting back to you, but we're newly active on Tripadvisor, and still wanted to let you know we appreciate your support.

Have you been able to join us for some onion soup and stuffed haddock recently?

Sincerely,
Paul - Owner

The service and food were excellent. I do have to say our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. We shared a calamari dish (full plate) and had the stuffed lobster-awesome!

My wife and I had dinner on 12/01/13. My wife had one of the daily specials which was a turkey dinner. The stuffing was "Pepperidge Farm Stuffing Mix". My salad dressing was bitter and sour.
The baked scallop dinner was dry and some of the scallop edges were hard and dry. The plus was the waitress was pleasant. Disappointing meal
