Enjoyed this restaurant. Our waitress, Sheridan, was wonderful. Always there when you needed her, but not "in your face". The meal was excellent. I had the horseradish haddock and my husband had the Swordfish. Everything was flavorful and well presented. We were seated in a booth for two looking out at the harbor in Portsmouth. This is our first time there, but definitely will not be our last. The restaurant is not "noisy" and you are able to talk to one another without yelling. The only thing I would request of them is to have a "senior" or "light" menu because the servings are good size and I feel badly when I can't eat everything. I wish more restaurants would offer "half" meals.

We started with Mary and the Boys...(bloody Mary with two large shrimp), oysters on the half shell, blackened fish tacos and the Flueben...only thing missing was the American Revolution Vodka with soda...lemon and a lime...great service! #surf #revvodka #trip

We enjoyed a fabulous seafood feast overlooking the Portsmouth harbor. We were a bit skeptical fearing that it might be a typical tourist restaurant on the water with a great view and average food, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and also the helpful waitstaff. We did enjoy the view, but we feasted on fresh Parmesan halibut and lobster. Surf was in walking distance of nearly all the downtown hotels. My son and his wife recommended Surf when they were there last year and said the tuna was the best tuna they had ever eaten. Their recommendation was appreciated.

We had three couples for a dinner business meeting. The service was the best we have ever had in a restaurant. And the food was five stars plus plus. After dinner the chef came out to see our table. He asked us if we were the Portuguese stew table. We had ordered four of the Portuguese stew. You receive the entire pot and if you don't know which fish dish you would like, the stew has them all. It was the best.

You cannot go wrong eating here. We will definitely be back.
