My friend and I stopped for a late lunch after shopping Portsmouth's great boutiques, Though not crowded, the restaurant was busier than I'd expect on a Thursday in February. My friend had the meat loaf and I had the "small ships" plate - a small lobster roll on toasted brioche, cup of seafood chowder, and homemade potato chips. (There is also a "tall ships" plate with a larger roll for $5 or so more.) As others have mentioned, the chowder is excellent and the chips were wonderful; the small roll had a very generous amount of lobster and was delicious. The meatloaf, served with mashed potato and onion strings, was also very good. Service was prompt and friendly.
