“Awesome crab cakes”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

Although I had highly rated crab cakes from a Maine restaurant, the ones at The Common Man blew us away. They also came with a delicious sauce. I would definitely go back for a full meal at this restaurant...and more awesome crab cakes.

“Was just OK”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

The quality of the food was average. Nothing really to compalin about, but nothing to rave about either. The staff was friendly. Had an over cooked piece of prime rib, but the waitress took care of it rigthaway and the manager came over to check on us as well.

“Good group restaraunt”

Great server and food could have been a little better. Veggies were cold and pork was overdone. Atmosphere was excellent and food came put in a reasonable time

“Typical greatness..but on steroids”
Reviewed August 30, 2013 via mobile

We are C-Man fans. Though winding through streets of Portsmouth isn't always easy, its well worth it. Everything, including menu specials, menu fare (we had lunch), atmosphere, service & attentiveness were there, but well above average, even by C-Man standards. Good job to staff & managers. We are proud to bring first-timers with us!

“Wonderful Restaurant for Gluten Intolerant Patrons”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

Great food, reasonably priced, fantastic service. Being Gluten Intolerant, it is hard to find restaurants that can accommodate my diet (and have good food!) We both had the prime Rib without the au jus - which was very very good. I would definitely go back and from what I have read from other readers, there are a few of them around. Good to know. It was very nice to see that the waitress never skipped a beat when I mentioned that I was Gluten Intolerant and made it very easy to choose from their extensive menu!

Will be back!
