I stayed at the Sheraton Harborside for business and can't wait for another trip back to the NH Seacoast!

The staff was extremely attentive, the food in the restaurant was exquisite and the room was one of the most comfortable I have ever stayed in!

I couldn't have asked for better service on every level and, as a matter of fact, I am thinking about booking a personal trip and staying there!

We visited the Sheraton for a long weekend, as we only live about an hour away but needed a little getaway! We have been to Portsmouth many times but have never stayed and decided to treat ourselves this time. The hotel is beautiful on the outside and when you go inside, it's just as nice! The room was very spacious, clean and the bed was extra comfy. We had some drinks and apps in the lounge before heading out downtown - and the view in the lounge was so amazing. The staff was very kind and seemed to care about us and our stay. They recommended places and things to do downtown that we didn't know of. We had a great breakfast on Sunday morning at the hotel and had great service again! Portsmouth is such a great location - shopping, food and history, all in one! We will defintely treat ourselves to another stay at the Sheraton (Very soon!!)

My wife and I have stayed at this Sheraton several times, mostly because we love the area and this is located right in the middle of downtown. The hotel is clean and all of the employees were nice. It did seem a bit over priced but I guess that is do to the location. Portsmouth is a great area and staying at this hotel allowed us to come and go as we pleased. We could spend the day visiting the shops and then pop back for a nap or a shower before going out for a nice dinner.

Over all we enjoyed out stay. Nothing bad to say about the hotel but most or our enjoyment came do to the location.

Stayed at the Sheraton Harborside overnight for a conference.

The location is great, easy to get to from I-95, and close to many shops and restaurants by the waterfront.

Check in was quick and efficient, but the front desk staff was not very helpful or free with simple information like parking. Self-parking across the street in an open lot was $6 and valet parking was $12. They did not mention that your room key card was needed not only to get into the lot but also to get out (after I checked out, they took my key card without mentioning this fact - so don't give them your key card if you parked across the street). They certainly seem as nice and friendly as mentioned in another review here, but I checked in during the week, so maybe the staff on during the weekend are nicer.

The lobby was clean and very nice. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The condition of the room was very good. The view I had was of the central parking courtyard, but I heard from others that some rooms have a nice water view.
It was a little chilly and the heating/air conditioning unit very quickly made the room comfortable, but was a little noisy.

There was a restaurant on site that catered the conference and the food was quite good. Service was excellent.

Overall, a nice place but the front desk staff (at least during the week) need to try a little harder and be more helpful.

To celebrate my husband's birthday I wanted to go somewhere special. The Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel fit the bill. We stayed on the Club level and enjoyed complimentary cheese and wine. The accomodations were very classic and clean. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Whomever we encountered had a smile and a friendly greeting. It was a pleasurable experience and my husband was very surprised to experience a weekend getaway.
If you want excellent views, outstanding accomodations and friendly service withing walking distance of the finest restaurants and shops on the Seacoast, The Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel is your place to stay.

STAYING IN PORTSMOUTH, NH?
NEED RELIABLE ACCOMODATIONS?
SAY NO MORE!
The Sheraton Harborside in Portsmouth is the answer to all your hotel accommodations. Either traveling alone, couples, family's, planning a meeting or conference this facility can and will accommodate you. Large sized meeting facilities and connecting rooms for families allow a variety of configurations from the traditional to the diverse. If you’re lucky enough to catch a special deal on Sheraton's website or it's parent Starwood do so. This hotel has it all from an underground parking garage ($12.00 per night) to clean, comfortable, updated, hotel rooms to there professional, personable, and accommodating staff. This hotel is a gem and an excellent choice as we were able to obtain an off-season rate with a promotion that Starwood was running.

I couldn’t fault anything with this Sheraton. From check-in at the front desk to the waiters in the dining room to clean well light modern public spaces along with an efficient room cleaning staff this hotel takes care of you. Our big bright airy hotel room was clean, spacious and well decorated. It had a generous bathroom with an extra long vanity, big mirror, electrical outlets, plenty of lighting and soft, fluffy towels.

After a full day of shopping and returning back to a well kept, cleaned, re-made room was a welcome sight. Our complimentary bottled water and a good ice machine made quenching ones thirst after shopping all day a big relief. Not having to hunt down the basics for bottled water and ice as they are available and complimentary makes staying at this Sheraton a joy. The little details that make a vacation experience great are why the Sheraton Portsmouth has an outstanding reputation.

This Sheraton in particular is a good jumping off point for both dining and shopping or sight seeing as we went shopping in boutique stores in downtown Portsmouth, an eight minute walk to a short drive over the Pisquataqua River to nearby Kittery, ME to the Kittery Outlets (14 minute drive). In just minutes you can be in Kittery shopping at outlets such as Coldwater Creek, Eddie Bauer, Bass Clothing, Crate and Barrel, Cole Hann, The Gap, Reebok, Nike, Anne Klein, J. Crew and many more.

Besides the shopping for early Christmas presents we also took advantage of the state run liquor. The prices for liquor in NH are far better than niehboring states due to NH's NO SALES TAX!
