Description: George's Seafood is best known for many years of dining service to the greater Plymouth, NH area. Although we specialize in seafood, we also have have one of the best steaks in the area and customers love pairing our steak tips with a seafood item for a delightful Surf & Turf combo. We have our own smoker so pulled pork and rib entrees fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. Enjoy!

“A bargain for seafood”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

We eat here atleast once a month nothing fancy, wait staf can be inexperience, but fresh fish at a reasonable price good specials, it not gourmet but basic American seafood we all like the seafood chowder home made with fresh fish most of the time we order the fresh haddock or the shrimp.

“Not impressed”
Reviewed September 17, 2013

This was (by far) the worst meal of our visit to the White Mountains region. The food was mediocre - flavorless, pasty chowder and soggy, undercooked, unseasoned fried clams. The broiled scallops were rubbery, flavorless and served in watery broth with only mere hints of lemon/butter. I suspect that the scallops were not patted dry before they were cooked, because they ended up tasting more boiled than broiled. The only meal our party enjoyed was the haddock. Unfortunately, the service was worse than the food. We had a nasty-tempered woman waiting on us, who rolled her eyes and acted put out when one member of our dining party asked questions about the menu/ingredients so that he could order a meal that accommodated his celiac disease. The waitress refused to check salad dressing ingredients or ask the kitchen questions. When she was asked if the potatoes were cooked with any coating or seasoning, she snapped 'How should I know... they're potatoes.'. It was clear that she thought this person in our party was being difficult, but honestly cooking scallops and a baked potato without wheat should be easy for any seafood restaurant. And it's not like celiacs enjoy having to make special demands. We would never go back to George's. Maybe the rest of the waitstaff is more educated and/or accommodating of food allergies, but when there are so many other restaurants in the area that offer delicious and extensive gluten-free options, why take the chance of returning someplace like this. Sorry...

“Great for Seafood but not sandwiches”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

My daughter and I went out for lunch at Georges. I ordered a Reuben with onion rings and my daughter ordered fried haddock with onion rings. We each got a drink bill came out to about 23.00.
The Haddock was excellent and the onion rings were homemade..very good. The sandwich well not very good. The pastrami tasted like ham. I have to say that later on I did not feel well. Not sure if it was the sandwich or not. But I tried my daughters haddock and it was very good!!!!
Would I eat there again...Yes! But I would never order a sandwich there again.

“George's gives you a great meal and fair prices”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

George's is not fancy but the food is well prepared and plentiful. Great seafood! It's a casual atmosphere and family friendly. Their Lobster Roll is fantastic and both their fish and their seafood is excellent. Never had a bad meal at George's and always feel like we've gotten value for our money. Feel free to come in your shorts and tee shirts and have a wonderful seafood feast!

“Great Food”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

While visiting at Gilcrest Cottages in Thornton, NH, we got take-out from George's. The seafood chowder was sooo good- rich and delicious and loaded with seafood. We also had the pulled pork sandwiches with fries that were great too. Loved the texture of the fries- so different from your ordinary fries that you get in most places. We've been here before and have enjoyed the fish sandwiches too, but this time we thought we'd try something outside the ordinary box for a seafood restaurant and we were not disappointed at all.
