From the minute you pull into the parking lot you get this home-like, rustic northern feel. The atmosphere is simply unique. From the deer antlers to the giant wildlife animal wall hangings to the warm inviting fire place you get an all around country cabin feel. The feel throughout the whole inn is the same. The rooms were very simple yet adorable! You get NH made soap and lotion samples instead of the norm. The beds were very comfortable and we had a fireplace in our room which made it super cozy. If your are looking for a room with a suped up TV you might want to prepare yourself as the TV is a decent size but we only got regular cable TV.
Fosters boiler room is great, good food cozy feel and decent prices.
I got a shellac mani and a pedi. Both were great and the spa is just adorable. Very relaxing feel. They have a pool, whirlpool with a fun stone waterfall and a sauna.
Fosters hall was a perfect setting for our wedding with the rustic feel throughout. There is a large "farmers porch" style dance floor that had lights strewn around the posts, makes for a beautiful night reception! Kali and Liz were so wonderful to work with and were super friendly and helpful. All in all, a great weekend and the most wonderful day of my life marrying my husband!!

Room Tip: None of these were available but ask for one of the special rooms like Camp, Squam or one of the oth...

Congratulations on your recent wedding and thank you for selecting the Inn & Spa for your special day!
We are so pleased you enjoyed your wedding celebration and that Liz & Kali assisted in making your day perfect!
Unique, homey and rustic, is what we strived for when renovating the Inn and it makes such a special location for a wedding weekend or retreat.
We hope you keep us in your yearly plans, a remembrance of your special day!

We stayed on a third floor room. While there wasn't an elevator to that floor, and it wasn't simple to find our room, it was fun. The Inn incorporated the history of this building (a former mill) everywhere! Our room was secluded and quiet, just the way we like it. Definitely will be back!

Secluded and quiet describe the 3rd floor overnight rooms perfectly!
They are stair access only; due to the original structure of the building, the elevator is unable to service that floor; however if you don't mind the little walk, they are worth it!
Thank you for your review and we look forward to your return trip!

I just got back from a 2 night stay while up here for a wedding. We stayed in room 207, otherwise known as "the lodge" room. It was very large. Had a nice bathroom, and very clean shower with nice water pressure. The bed was large and comfortable. It was camp lodge themed and pretty cool to stay in. There was a mini fridge in the room that worked out well for left overs and beer. The pool is sort of small, and so is the hot tub. They were both very nice though. The "rise and shine" cafe is great! Free coffee and pastries and bagels and so on... For about 5$ you could order eggs and bacon. It was busy both mornings, but the girls running the show were great! All very nice, and very attentive. When back in Plymouth I would stay here again.

We are so pleased to read that you were able to experience a stay in one of our 3 signature suites; Lodge, Camp or Squam. They are large, unique and 'pretty cool' rooms, if I say so myself.
Many of our regular guests stayed with us for the first time attending a wedding and have continue to return on their own, we hope you will as well.
Thank you for your kind review!

The Common Man is a NH owned group of restaurants and inns, each with a unique character, but all with a NH charm and feel. This inn was once a wood mill and it has been transformed into a very cozy and absolutely one of a kind inn, restaurant and spa -- which has won many Best awards and it is easy to see why. All the staff are not only super friendly, but also very efficient and accommodating. (I left a book there and they promptly mailed it back to me). There are historical pictures and artifacts everywhere, as well as cozy fireplaces, big chairs and sofas -- even the merchandise for sale is well curated and displayed.

The restaurant is very good, there is coffee, tea, hot chocolate available all day and a small café for breakfast (continental is free, but eggs, etc are available at an astonishingly reasonable price). You really don't have to leave the inn, but it is close to both the NH lakes region and the White Mtns. so there is plenty to do in the area. The inn is pet friendly and has a nice section for its pet rooms. If you are in the area do stay here, it has great NH character and you won't find anything better!

Very elegant for lunch which was spectacular. My sister had a HUGE BL&T and I had the best fish and chips ever!! Mike our waiter was fabulous. We sat downstairs by the wood burning fireplace which was appreciated as it was frigid! Wish I could review this under restaurants but this is one of the best in NH!!! Will definitely return.

Room Tip: I have not stayed her as yet but will definitely return to Fosters Boiler Room for a meal.

I am so pleased to read that you enjoyed your dining experience in Foster's Boiler Restaurant!
The fish and chips are delicious!
Our facility was an old wood mill that was converted into an Inn, Restaurant and Spa in 2002.
The fireplace in Foster's Boiler Room Restaurant was the old smoke stack for the mill. We kept as much of the old as we could during the renovation, desiring to be funky and unique. It pleases us when our customers notice and enjoy the features.
Next visit come and stay at the Inn and treat yourself to a Spa treatment, I know you will be pleased!

We stayed here because our son was hurt in a skiing accident and the Inn was the closest lodging to Speare Memorial Hospital. What a great decision we made. I can't say enough good things about this Inn. Our room was large and very comfortable. The staff is very accommodating but gives you your privacy. Our room was right next to the elevator and we were worried we would hear it, but we did not. The room was quiet. We had room 205. It had two very comfortable double beds and a sleeper sofa that was also very comfortable as a sofa and a bed. There was a quaint sitting room and a fireplace and a fridge. I would really give this place four and a half stars. It is not a four seasons, but it is a great place.
