“Fabulous north country inn”
Reviewed September 25, 2012 via mobile

We booked a last minute overnight getaway. One call to the reservation desk and we received a 25% discount on a signature suite. The room was themed "the camp", #209. Absolutely beautiful. Everything was early Adirondack including the 1920 canoe resting over the four post pine bed. See my attached picture. Food was delicious in the Boiler Room Restaurant as well as the 1940's style cafe in the lobby for breakfast.

Thank you for your review.
Camp Suite is our original signature suite. We designed two other rooms; Squam and Lodge after Camp, due to it's popularity. Try one of the other signature suites druing your next stay, I know you will love them as well!
We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to your return.

Stayed for one night in the Camp Suite on a Groupon deal. The Camp Suite is adorable with a screen door to enter into the sleeping area, just as if you were at a camp. A full size canoe above the bed and an electric fireplace makes it just adorable.
We ate in the restaurant. The food was very good. Did not have a chance to use the spa, hope to return.

Stayed here with a Buy with Me. Would go back in a minute at full price. Staff is welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is continental, but plenty, and you can pay a small amount for this lovely girl to cook to order anything you want. Spa is amazing. Pool is warm, had two jacuzzi, one was hotter, the other is a rock formation with a waterfall. Nice gym. We ate in our room one night, but ordered from the restaurant and picked it up. Not gourmet but very tasty and hot when we got it. Lots of choices.
When we left, I noticed I did not have my briefcase, with all my important stuff. The woman at the desk went up to the room and found it, overnighted it to my office, where it arrived less than 48 hours after I left. NOW THAT IS SERVICE!!!
The Inn is central to everything and even has a place to rent bikes next door.
Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Rooms are very large, make sure you only get a room with the number of beds you need. Also, some bed...

We stayed here for two nights on a weekend in August. We walked into the lobby and was pleasantly overwhelmed by the decorating. The staff is friendly. Loved the idea that the owners purchased a shut down " wooden peg" factory and converted it into a very unique Inn. There are numbered historical pictures throughout the halls, some of the factory, town and people - even Babe Ruth. In the lobby is a three ring binder which gives a narrative of the pictures. Plus a member of housing keeping told us quite a bit of history.

Our room was comfortable and could have accommodated 6 but is was just the two of us. Nice touches in the bathroom-handcrafted goat's milk soap and aloe makeup wipes. The Inn was sold out as there was a wedding reception that weekend . We were gone out of our room from 8:30 am to 3pm on Saturday and was rather surprised our room had not been service. Since it was the two of us (in a room for 6) we had plenty of towels so it was okay.

The restaurant is on three levels and offers cozy intimate seating. We ate in the "Boiler room" and had a delicious flat bread appetizer, the rest of the dinner was average. The server was pleasant but forgot to pour us any water, so since we were seated by the server station I poured it.

There is a separate kitchen room for breakfast. A cold breakfast is included in the room price, but for approx $5 you could get a made to order hot breakfast. However the room was is very small as it contains two stoves for cooking, breakfast counter w/six stools and two other tables. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate is available all day - nice touch.

Plymouth is a small college town and very music oriented. We drove in on a Friday afternoon and was pleasantly surprise by a free concert in the park. As we walked the quaint little downtown area we came across "The Flying Monkey" theater, which is also owned by the Common Man. We were elated to discover that Joan Osbourne was playing Saturday night, so we purchased tickets. Another surprise - Jeff LeBlanc was the opening act and we purchased one of his cds. All in all we had a great time at the Inn and their theater.

We stayed three days during a recent New England visit and would return in a heartbeat. The building was once a wood products factory and has been converted to wonderfully designed inn. One of the inn's greatest features are the old photos of the area that line the walls. The in house restaurant has excellent food and the inn's staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Plymouth is a small, but lively historic college town.

So pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay in our Inn!
The old photographs that line the halls were collected by the owner. There is a guide book that explains each scene and you are also able to order prints.
A lot of history in this 'old mill' and in the Plymouth area.
Thank you for your review and we look forward to your next stay with us.

We reserved a loft room for two nights on a Monday and Tuesday night in August. My in-laws joined us for one night, so we wanted a room large enough to accommodate four adults. With enough sleeping areas for 8 people, this was the best choice. The decor is very homey and comfortable. It is clean and spacious inside the room, and with a loft, there is one full bathroom downstairs and a half-bath upstairs. The bathrooms and some of the lighting seemed a little bit dated, but the beds were comfortable.

All of the staff members were very friendly. Fletcher the cat was seen in many different places during our stay and it was nice to spend some time with him.

The Inn is very close to I-93 and convenient to get to. The free continental breakfast, while somewhat sparse, is fine for someone like me who cannot eat a heavy meal early on in the day. Other options can be quickly prepared for a reasonable amount of money if you are looking for something more substantial.

I did not use the spa services, but my in-laws have had massages there before and said that they are wonderful. I did use one of the hot tubs, and the waterfall is nice. I also used the elliptical machine in the small fitness area - yes, it is a small fitness area, but there was no one else in there, and I am glad I was able to squeeze in a workout.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay, and we would definitely consider coming here again if we are in the Plymouth area.

Our mouths flew open when we saw our suite! It was so cleverly decorated and designed. No detail went unnoticed right down to the heating lamp when you get out of the shower to the make up mirror and remover pads. It was fun to stay here. I travel a lot for business and have never stayed at such a clever place! I will not give it away for you but staying here at least once I'm a lifetime is must! The staff was friendly and attentive and the cafe adorable!
