“North Woods Country...awesome!”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Beautiful picturesque area! Kayaking and canoeing popular due to serene waters of First Connecticut Lake. Great for quiet vacation and stargazing but wouldn't want to live in the area ...too remote and distant from major shopping.

“4th Connecticut trail at the border crossing”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

We hiked the 4th Connecticut lake trail, It's a must in the area. You can park at the US/Canada border. The trail crosses the border in several locations before reaching the lake. We saw Bobcat and Moose tracks on the way.It is a relatively easy hike with a few steep spots. We did it in 1.5 hours round trip with two 7 year old boys. The views are fabulous and you do not need a passport!

“Great fishing area”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

No details on secret fishing spots, but the fishing opportunities are endless and.....fruitful. Our die-hard fishing family members were not disappointed!
