Little River Bed and Breakfast

This was my second visit to Little River B & B in the charming town of Peterborough. The inn is very well run and organized. Friendly and hospitable innkeepers, Paula and Rob, are knowledgeable about the area, local events, and transportation directions. Paula prepares gourmet breakfasts and freshly baked treats every day. Bedrooms are well appointed with attractive linens and very comfortable beds. Everything is spotless! I look forward to visiting Little River B & B again!

I just returned from a three night stay at the Little River B&B in Peterborough and it was fabulous. Their attention to detail and hospitality are among the best I've ever encountered. Upon our arrival (boyfriend in tow), we were cheerfully greeted, given a tour of the common areas and taken up to our room.

The common areas included a living room with flat screen TV and fireplace, sun porch which got tons of sun in the morning and a deck. Our room was tastefully decorated and appointed with a gas remote controlled fireplace (AMAZING!), flat screen TV, deliciously high thread-count sheets, plush towels and attached bath with a pocket door! I have a thing for pocket doors :) We also had a beautiful view of the river in the backyard. Everything seemed brand new, yet the place still had the character of an old New England home.

Paula and Rob had delicious breakfasts each morning and were flexible about what time it was served. They also were extremely helpful, even making our new year's dinner reservation for us. Our last night, we were very tired from snowboarding/skiing all day and we wanted to have pizza for dinner. Since none of the places in town delivered, Paula and Rob offered to pick it up for us. Way beyond the call of duty!

So if you're visiting the Monadnock region, I HIGHLY recommend staying with Rob & Paula at Little River Bed and Breakfast. They are the best and I will definitely be coming back.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Little River Bed and Breakfast for 2 nights in October during our trip to New England. Peterborough is a beautiful little town and the Little River Bed and Breakfast is in a perfect location, beside a flowing river. It is a great location for taking in the New England fall weather and the changing colors of the leaves. Paula and Rob are very nice and outgoing and went out of their way to ensure that we had a wonderful stay there. The breakfasts were amazing and they provided us with a lot of information about area events and festivals, as well as maps and directions. The B&B is very nicely decorated, and there is plenty of room to sit and read, watch TV, or converse with the other guests there. We would absolutely recommend this B&B to anybody who wants to get the New England small town experience.

The picturesque town of Perterborough, NH is a great place to visit any time of year and the Litttle River Bed and Breakfast is an great place to stay. It is located on the banks of Nubanusit River and the owners told us their house is dated from around the 1870s. The owners did a wonderful job renovating and updating the house so you really feel at home. The rooms have a view of the river and if the temperature outside isn't too cold it's great to listen to the river as you're falling asleep. The bed is very comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. The owners are very warm and welcoming and they really strive to make our stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. They were very helpful when ever we asked for directions, recommendations for restaurants or places to see. My wife and I would highly recommend you contact them if you are planing a trip to Peterborough or the surrounding areas.

Rob and Laura are disarmingly nice people who you'd like to invite to your own house. On top of that the place is a welcome home away from home. They've remodeled recently and everything is in great shape and good taste. Laura cooked us a great quiche and Rob sent us off to drive up the Miller state park road, which was dazzling with fall colors and had amazing views including the Boston skyline.

It’s hard to add to the deservedly glowing reviews of Little River Bed and Breakfast.

Paula and Rob are consummate hosts - extremely hospitable, warm and welcoming - who do everything in their power to make your stay special and comfortable. The property is immaculately clean and situated beside a little river which is very picturesque especially if you have the opportunity to view it in autumn foliage and the unexpected snow - which we did!

During our 4 night stay, they also had old friends visit and generously included us. We had a wonderful time and it was great fun to be around such a lovely group of people. We even arrived home one evening to find pumpkins and tools waiting for us should we desire to carve them.

Paula cooks a spectacular breakfast which, along with plenty of conversation, sets you up for a range of sightseeing possibilities kindly organised by Rob. We drove beautiful, scenic, autumnal roads without other traffic, walked a picturesque old rail trail with a carpet of thick, fallen leaves following it to a lake, explored the unique and quintessential villages of Harrisville and Hancock, visited Keene just in time for the Pumpkin Festival, watched the Yankee Trebuchet in action, drove up Pack Monadnock for spectacular views, discovered covered bridges, dipped into the Peak into Peterborough Foliage Festival and dined at the fabulous Harlow’s Pub. And there was so much more than we had time for.

A hug to say goodbye confirmed that we had arrived as guests and left as friends.

We had a wonderful time in Peterborough! We came for a weekend for a wedding and couldn't have been happier with the accomodations. The innkeepers, Rob and Paula, were friendly and very helpful. The breakfasts both morning were outstanding. What we really liked is the simplistic atmosphere here. It is sparkling clean and uncluttered; very homey and comforable. I would love to stay again! If you go, make sure to walk out back and see how lovely the river is.
