The "lower" end of the Red Jacket Resorts. Rooms are fine for the price and you get a free breakfast in the am as well as discount on Kahuna Laguna Water Park, which is right down the street at Red Jacket Inn. The only complaint was that the phone and receiver were filthy. Beds, floor, and bathroom was clean. Breakfast was crazy the morning we stayed there because there were two bus tours who were trying to eat all at the same time!

Lovely hotel with balcony and great gardens and views. Staff friendly and helpful and bathroom had a working hairdryer. Breakfast had good selection and food hot. Good restaurants at bottom of hill - 99 restaurant, very busy but worth waiting as selection good and food cooked extremely well plus prices very reasonable. Hillbillies across road also good but a little more expensive. Only problem is the long walk back to the resort as it is uphill and the road is dark, if you have transport it is not a problem.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a great review. Kate our gardener was thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed her lush gardens. Chef Crystals breakfast buffet is really great she has a fantastic team in her kitchen. Nice country hotel. Very welcoming and helpful staff and everything was very clean or recently painted in public areas. Our room looked like it needed a refresher and smelt slightly damp or musty but a good hour with the air-con on cleared that. Great views to the west across an open air pool with a good size indoor pool aswell. Best of all was the complementary breakfast. A little frantic at times in the dining area so try to pick a quiet time but the food was excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the outdoor swimming pool facing west away from the car park.

Thank you for choosing the Fox Ridge Resort. We have a great staff here and many people comment on how friendly and helpful they are. The views from Fox Ridge are some of the best in the Mt. Washington valley and being set so far back from the road makes it very peaceful. It was nice to hear you enjoyed our wonderful breakfast buffet it has everything you need and more!
Thank you again,
Chuck and Staff

Location, views, clean, breakfast - all great. Fantastic for a family hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly and we enjoyed our stay. Drove to Mt. Washington - a must. The kids enjoyed the pool and I had a great run through town.

We chose to stay at this resort instead of the Red Jacket down the street (the sister hotel) because it was considerably cheaper and we were still able to go to the indoor water park at Red Jacket. When I called to inquire about the hotel, I was told that the hotel was updated and nice. However, as soon as I opened the door to our room I found out otherwise. There was an odor that made me think it was once a smoking room back in the days when that was allowed, combined with a damp smell. The room was clean but we had to crank the a/c (which was quite loud) in order to keep the smell away.
The staff was very nice and helpful and my kids loved the indoor pool. It was conveniently located too.
Would I stay here again? If I didn't get overruled by my husband and kids who don't care about the room just the water park, I would say no. I would find a more updated hotel...even if it costs a little more.

Room Tip: Maybe a balcony room wouldn't have the damp smell... not sure but it's worth a try.

This hotel could use some upgrading but the atmosphere is great if you have kids. We used the outdoor pool. I've never seen so many people in one pool before but the kids loved it. Everyone was having a good time. The room balcony was small and old but provided a great place to dry suits. The room was clean. The dining room was crowded with people for breakfast but again, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and the food wasn't bad either. Overall a good experience.

This was a vacation that two Grandmothers took there Grandsons, who are under the age of two
to see Santa's Village, and Story Land. (We are disappointed that we didn't know anything about your Story Land deal, and we still don't, we over heard some one speak of it) Other than that we fed the boys breakfast without leaving the Hotel, fantastic. The boys slept well, they enjoyed the pool, the swing set, and everyone was kind to them. We felt safe staying at Fox Ridge, especially with our precious cargo. I felt our room was neat, clean, and close to our car. I've stayed with this Hotel before, it has improved, your staff are kind, and professional. I'd like to thank you all for a wonderful week-end, you helped us make memories. Your staff has made your Hotel my kind of Hotel, I'll be back! Elizabeth Bagni, Burlington, MA.

Room Tip: Lower floors are better for people with small children, and for elderly, especially with lots of...
