“Great Place to stay in North Conway!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

We only stayed for 1 night but would definitely stay here again if we come back to the White Mountains. The location, the room, the friendly and knowledgeable staff, the superb breakfast and the dog were all fantastic!! Would recommend to everyone!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Neiman Marcus room and it had a great view and quite spacious!

The Red Elephant exceeded my expectations of a B&B. Cleanliness is a high priority for me and I found it nearly spotless. The décor was contemporary and blended well with the 1800's building. The Inn Keeper, Rob, was friendly, inviting and social. The two porches and living rooms for the guests made it possible to relax in private or socialize with the other guests. A short walking distance to restaurants and a reasonable walking distance to the village is such a plus with the constant slow moving traffic.

Room Tip: If you want a TV be sure to request.

My friend and I went away for a relaxing weekend of hiking and sightseeing. She booked our reservation and as this was our first trip to NH I was more than pleasantly suprised. The staff was so friendly and the Inn was clean and cozy. It felt as though we were staying at a close friends house and the mountain view from our room was so beautiful. It was set just off of a main road within walking distance of several bars and restaurants which was very convienent. I would highly recommend this place for friends or couples looking for a cozy, homey, rustic place to stay during their trip.

It was our first trip to this Bed and Breakfast and it won't be our last. Innkeeper, Rob, was very hospitable. Took advantage of the sunset view over the mountains from the front porch. Walked to dinner nearby. Breakfast was out of this world.... three courses and served hot and quick. We stayed in the huge New York room surrounded by three sides of windows. It had a two person whirlpool tub and king size bed.

Barking dog took away from quiet atmosphere otherwise very pleasant. Breakfast was excellent. Room was big. Old house can hear people upstairs. Small pool not used when we were there. Nice location off main road.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a getaway weekend and couldn't have been happier. The innkeeper Rob was very personable and welcoming when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room the first night was clean, quiet and comfortable, with an amazing view of the mountains. The second night Rob had an unexpected opening for a room with a king bed and Jacuzzi and was more than happy to upgrade us since we had mentioned how nice the room looked while passing by it during the day. The breakfast both mornings was delicious (we're both breakfast people so this was important to us), and being able to relax on the back deck with a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the mountain was an unexpected pleasure after being out all day. The inn itself is located within walking distance of several restaurants and shopping, so it's perfect if you want to leave your car and take a walk old school to grab a drink or do some shopping in Conway center. If you are looking for a clean, quiet, safe little B&B to relax in but still want quick access to everything then definitely check this place out. We can't wait to go back again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room upstairs for the best mountain views. The Hollywood room on the first floor is large...

We stayed at the Red Elephant Inn for a couple nights. The room was huge; it had a fireplace, a king size bed, and a jacuzzi! Which was great to relax in after spending the day rock climbing. And Rob and his dog, Brodie, were extremely friendly. In the morning, the breakfast was AMAZING!! There were three courses-- first he brought us creme puffs which were to die for! Next was poached pears with this coffee sauce and last there was a choice but I had the strawberry french toast and my husband had eggs benedict, and both were fabulous (I tried some of his!) Rob was a wealth of information about where to hike and rock climb to where to eat. He seemed to know a lot about the area and was full of interesting stories and jokes. We will definetly be back again! I would recommend this place to any couple who wants to get away from their kids for a weekend.
