This was our third stay at the Red Elephant and not one has been anything less than very good. Even though the weekend was rainy for the most part we still had a great time. We love hiking and Rob's recommendation of Champney Falls right on the Kanck was perfect for the two of us. We stayed in the Vegas room and loved the open beam ceiling, gas fireplace, and bathtub for two to relax in after a day in the mountains. The breakfasts are always fantastic and the wine in the late afternoon/early evening is a nice touch. Thanks Rob for the great hospitality !

Room Tip: The New York room is the best. It has the King bed, nice fireplace, jet tub and nice view of the mountains.

This was our first time in the White Mountains, so I was looking for a cute B&B with good TripAdvisor reviews. So happy I found The Red Elephant! We were on a weeklong tour of New England and only had one night in NH. Wish we could have been here longer - of the 5 places we stayed on our trip, this was our favorite.

From the moment of our arrival, Rob, the owner, was charming and gracious. He showed us around the inn, and our room (the Hippie Room) was great. Each of the rooms have a theme, but not in a tacky way at all....the Southeast Asia room, the Neiman Marcus Room, the Domestic Cat room, etc....just a cute little distinction.

The common areas were great - there was a living room area where we sat and talked with another interesting couple also staying there. There is a nice dining room with set tables, china, etc., and he has a self-service area set up all the time with water for hot tea, a big box of different types of teas, bags of popcorn, fresh apples, and chocolates. There is also a Keurig to make your own cup of coffee any time of the day.

Breakfast was exactly what you think of from a true B&B - you sit at your table and are waited on - this particular day they first brought out a delicious cream puff and fresh pineapples and coconut in a parfait, and coffee or tea. Then there were two breakfast choices - scrambled eggs with cream cheese and chives, the most delicious potatoes I've ever tasted, and an english muffin. The other choice was some sort of yummy looking honey maple pancakes. The service was impeccable and Rob made a point of coming out to see if everyone was happy.

The location is excellent - just off the main drag but far enough back to be quiet. The view of the mountains and foliage from the little porch where we took our coffee out to drink was gorgeous (also a great place to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening!)

Bottom line: This guy gets it right. Rob had a great sense of humor, and he was there when you needed him, but not intrusive like some B&B owners tend to be..he covered all the bases as far as comforts of home while feeling pampered, and the place itself is immaculate and tastefully decorated, while still feeling comfortable and homey, so you felt like you were visiting a rich relative. :) Prices were reasonable and the value for what you received well exceeded expectations. A consummate B&B experience.

Can't imagine a better place to stay!

Room Tip: All the rooms looked great - we loved the Hippie Room

We stayed for a weekend to attend a wedding down the road. The service was great and so was the breakfast in the morning!

Our room was spacious and comfortable. The views of the mountains from outside are amazing. Very relaxing weekend. We would recommend this place to those looking to stay at a Bed and Breakfast in North Conway.

We spent our honeymoon here at The Red Elephant Inn - It was a pleasant experience, enjoyed the room (The New York Room), the wonderful breakfasts and chatting with the owner. No complaints - Loved the location - (We were there November 20th, 2009) - The Fall - Perfect time to get away in New England ...

Room Tip: The New York Room had books and pics from NYC ... I loved the feel to this room

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Elephant Inn. Our room was immaculate and comfortable. The gourmet breakfast was outstanding, especially since the innkeeper was able to make mine gluten-free. We enjoyed the wine and chocolates that were left out for the guests. The innkeeper (and his dog) were very entertaining. We enjoyed his lighthearted stories at breakfast time.

Room Tip: The Las Vegas room was roomy, quiet and relaxing. We loved the jacuzzi tub.
