We went here for 4 nights out of our 7 in North Conway. The food was good and the beer was good and the staff were always at hand to fill you up.

There was a time years ago the 99 was known for really good food, good size portions, and reasonably priced. Well, that time has come and gone. The service here is ok, and the restaurant is clean although bland looking. The food here now is basic corporate style made in a commissary bland, and the portion size is very small. We ordered a salmon dish and the fish size must have been 4 ounces with about 4 tablespoons of potato and a very small dish of corn that was probably 3/4 full. We had a potato skin appetizer and 1/2 of it was stone cold, you know they cook them from a frozen state, and these were probably 1/2 cooked. Are other meals were mediocre. This place is not worth our hard earned money!

After getting settled for the evening went out to eat spotted the Ninety Nine and stopped in. Even though we went out close to 9:00 pm, Ninety Nine was open and going strong. Although there was a line and a half hour wait, was worth it in the end. The food was great, and the wait staff excellent and friendly and knowlegeable.I would recommend this place to anyone

What great service we had here . Loved the booths
The steaks were perfect and staff took time to ask us to cut in to them to check how they were cooked before leaving , a great idea
The french onion soup was really delicious
Value wise, it was one of the best and nicest meals on our two week holiday from Scotland

I knew it was not going to be a good experience when we walked in. Took 10 minutes for someone to even seat us, with no apology for making us wait. Then sat us at aS table with no menus. We are there for another 10 minutes, watching people get drinks, orders being taken, checks being handed out. I have to flag down the general manager to ask if we could have menus and if "anyone" is working this table. Mind you - the waitress who's table it was felt it more important to clean a table in her section, then stand around an change, then set this table that she just cleaned instead of acknowledging she has two patrons that were sat in her section. North Conway is a busy place in the Summer/Winter and later in the fall season. So being in the "off season" they must not care about customers. Maybe the regulars that live there all year long don't mind this treatment, but having driven 2 hours to go shopping there, and wanted a nice lunch, it just ruined the day. We ended up leaving.
