“Really lovely stay in a beautiful Inn.”
Reviewed June 20, 2014

Great location just metres off the main street with plenty of parking. You won't be disappointed with your arrival as you view this Inn.

Gayle looked after us with a warm and friendly welcome. Our room was really a very nice surprise and BIG! Yes, we certainly loved our room which also had french doors to our own balcony. The bathroom was equally large and this for sure made us feel really comfortable. The bed was great and ensured a good nights sleep. We did have a big issue with a fan light window in our room which had no blind and so light entered with a very early dawn. This just needs a simple blind and not a custom made one. After all....it is wound up during the day and you are asleep at night so aesthetics are not vital....but keeping the room dark is.

What a shame breakfast is not served in the Inn. I feel it would be a great addition to the overall experience and not to have to go out to seek breakfast. To us an Inn is a place where you sleep and dine...if even for breakfast. We were directed to the Stairway Cafe, a mere 2 minutes away and this was not good. Poor service, poor breakfast and, for our food, overpriced! I reviewed this separately.

Five star for sure ... except for the window/light and the lack of breakfast.

Overall this is a unique and lovely place to stay that is very good value indeed for what they offer.

Recommended.

After being checked in last night by pleasant and helpful staff, I was shown to my room. Whoa, what a nice room! It was spacious, spotless, comfortable and very nicely decorated. The bathroom was likewise excellent. Factor in the very convenient yet quiet location, and you have outstanding value for anyone looking for accommodation in the North Conway area. This is the first place I'll be checking next time I come back, no question about that.

We requested room 9 and received it! What a treat! Our own balcony and a very spacious room with a very large bathroom and fireplace! I realize it is May but we have arrived during a very rainy and chilly few days. The bed was most comfortable!

The service is wonderful - if you need it, they will get it for you. I wish they had evening coffee or tea service or had availability in the room but this is very minor.

The location of the Kearsarge Inn is unsurpassed. Walking distance to restaurants, Conway scenic railroad and other North Conway amenities.

Room Tip: Check out the website for photos of some of the rooms! We love room 9 on the second floor. Have al...

We stayed here for 2 nights the first weekend in April to get in one more boarding weekend in before putting them away for the year.

Overall, this place was perfect for what we wanted. A nice clean room, in a great location, at a good price. This met our needs perfectly.

Room had its own entrance on the side towards the back of the inn. We had a deluxe room which was above average size and had a huge bathroom. There was a nice king bed, a gas fireplace, and several pieces of antique style furniture. The bathroom was nicely updated with a huge counter that had double sinks, a stall shower, and bathtub. The room was spotless. TV had a nice selection of channels but was the old tube style TV...but I have to say it had a decent picture which was surprising in the days of HD.

We only have 2 "complaints". The window shades only covered half the window and they were hard to use because of their quality. It tended to get bright in the room in the morning since there was nothing to completely block the window. The showerhead was terrible as well because it sprayed everyway but straight.

Location is one of the highlights as well since it is a block off the main "strip" so you just steps away from the shops and restaurants of North Conway. I agree with a previous reviewer that Upstairs Café is a MUST for breakfast which again is just at the end of the street. There only place with a comparable location is the Eastern Slope Inn but you'll probably be paying a little more to stay there. For Skiers/Boarders - Kranmore Mt. is only a couple minutes down the street and you can actually see a few trails from the street out front of the inn.

So again, for the price and location this place is hard to beat. The next time we go to North Conway this will be the first place I look to stay.

My spouse and I wanted to change the date of our stay and in the process got a upgrade to the penthouse suite at no extra charge. The service was spectacular. Location couldn't be better being located a downtown North Conway. Food in North Conway exceeded our expectations. Upstairs cafe was so good that we went there twice for breakfast which we rarely do because we like to try different places.

We stayed in Kearsarge Inn and had a great time. The rooms are neat n cozy. The fireplace makes the room more cosy. The location of the inn is very convenient as it had many restaurants and shops around it. our car parking area was just next to our cottage and that made it easy to move our luggage. The morning coffee was good and nicely brewed. Overall had a good stay and would love to go back again.
