“Definitely not worth it, and no fish and chips here, despite the Irish name!”

The food is not well prepared and the prices are high. We ordered potato skins and they were grey on this inside. Ew. The servers were friendly enough, but ours in particular didn't seem to know what he was doing. Was looking for Fish & Chips, btw...and none on the menu! Definitely disappointed in this one.

McGrath's Tavern is located on White Mountain Highway, on the opposite side of the road from Moat Mountain Smokehouse. You drive up a circular driveway and the entrance is on the backside. Parking is a bit limited and we were lucky to get a spot.

You enter the bar portion of McGrath's, which was busy with a good number of patrons, likely skiers returning after a day on the slopes, and a seemed like it may not be a quiet place to have dinner. However, we were seated at the far end of a restaurant portion of McGrath's, which was quiet. We were promptly seated upon entering.

While the bar interior has a modern sports bar feel to it, the restaurant portion has an older atmosphere.

My wife ordered a cup of clam chowder, which she deemed quite good. We both ordered panini sandwhiches, which were large and flavorful. My wife choose the french fries with her meal, and I ordered the alternative, for which I cannot remember the name, but which was described as somewhere between french fries and potato chips. They were good, and closer to potato chips than french fries.

My ordered a diet coke and I had a Moat Mountain draft beer. Our total came to about $42,00 without tip.

Our visit to McGrath's was pleasant, but not remarkable. I will probably try another restaurant when we are in the area, not because it was disappointing in any way, but as there are a good number of other interesting dining venues to try.

For the second year in a row, the Ravens and the Patriots have come together for the AFC Championships and for both years we have been with friends skiing in North Conway. We've also spend both game days at McGrath's. Wonderful entrees, salads and appetizers. The servers, owner, son (the chef) and family - all extremely personable and committed excellent food and a nice upscale pub atmosphere. So, yes we were the only Ravens fans at McGrath's both years. Two years with two outcomes. It felt nice to be on the winning end this year. GO RAVENS!

We like the food but not the service, granted it was the AFC championship weekend. The server started out great, but once the game started we didn't see anyone and had to ask another server for our check. It would of been a great experience but that affected the outcome. Business first then pleasure.

We love sitting at the bar or at the high tops if we are a larger group. The service is great, the menu is varied, and the food is delicious...reasonably priced too...The only problem, like all good places in North Conway, is that at times it is impossible to park, let alone get in the door...
