Don't be discouraged if you find yourself waiting for a table at this downtown eatery in North Conway. It's a small place, wth a loyal following, so it fills up quickly (less than ten tables if we counted right). It can get frustrating standing on the stairs waiting for the folks ahead of you to be seated, but once you're sitting down and eating, the food is definitely worth it.
A recent noontime visit entailed a wait of ten-to-fifteen minutes, but the two servers handling the dining room were doing their best to get tables cleared and the next party seated as quickly as possible, One of today's "specials" was a pumpkin-and-almond pancakes dish that one of our group called "simply fantastic. I'd order it again right now, but I'm too full." Another of our party had an excellent grilled ham-tomato-asparagus-and-cheddar on a "great" whole wheat bread. The food comes out promptly considering there's just one person in the kitchen -- and just watching what other folks are eating helps the time pass quickly. Prices are very reasonable considering the variety and quality of the food.... Definitely worth a repeat visit!!
