“Probably the nicest Comfort Inn we've ever stayed in.”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

This is on the main road that runs through North Conway right by the Pirate's Cove Mini golf. The room was VERY nice and had recently been completely re-done. It was large, and had (in addition to the tall bed) a sofa, desk area, lots of drawer space, and a sort of kitchen area with a small sink, fridge and microwave. The bathroom was mid-size - a bit crowded for two people at the same time. The "make-up lighting" was not great, but was ok. The shower was very nice. The bed was comfy and they had several pillows of different firmness to chose from. There was a nice breakfast area that they had just re-tiled the day before we arrived, and the breakfast was very nice. It included scrambled eggs, sausage, and French toast strips in addition to what is almost always expected. We were there "off season" so were able to get a very reasonable rate of $98.10 - king senior, but I'm sure the rate is more during crowded periods. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

After over 12 months travelling in the US I am beginning to trust Comfort Inns for value, and the Inn and Suites at North Conway is probably the best one that I have stayed in. Whilst my son and I stayed there for a couple of nights there was refurbishment work going on in the 2nd floor, but it was well managed and almost invisible to the guests, a good sign of local management. Our room had recently been refurbished, so the furnishings were brand new, outside of the building has a very smart, but local rustic feel (see photo), and the staff were welcoming and professional. Good location off the main road through North Conway, I should rate it 4 stars but will continue to down-grade US hotels by one star until they change that standard of providing plastic/paper cups, plates, cutlery at breakfast. Breakfast was of a reasonable standard, although the normal fare. I am glad Comfort Iinns are investing in this place, it is worth it and good value. Thumbs up from me.

We stayed in one of the Romance rooms a couple of weeks ago. The room was amazing and very reasonably priced. It was huge with a king bed, fireplace, dining area, wet bar, tv with couch and a jacuzzi (in the room). The bed and pillows were super comfortable. The hotel itself was very clean and all the staff very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was also great with lots of choices including make your own waffles. A big plus was coffee available 24 hours, oh, and cookies at the front desk in the afternoons! We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here on March 6th, and 7th while on a mid week getaway. The staff is super friendly, the hotel is super clean, the beds are super commfy. We stayed in a suite that had 2 queen beds. The breakfast is a contiental one with two hot dishes. Day one was French toast and sausage and the second day was sausage and egg. At 3pm they put out a basket of fresh cookies, great after a day of skiing. The hotel is right beside Pirate Cove minature golf and it looks like fun for those staying in the summer months. You are a short 5min drive to Settlers Green for outlet shopping.
My only advice is if you are a light sleeper like myself, don't stay in a end unit closet to the road. I would get woken up from about 5am onwards every 10 min from the trucks driving bye, my family are heavy sleepers and this did not affect anyone else in our family, and in no way do I blame the hotel.
My only wish that would make this a four star to a five star in my books is if the water was a little warmer in the pool, and if the pool had a hot tub area that would allow me to watch the kids swim.
But the ultimate question is this would I stay here again and the answer is yes.

We stayed here during the MA school winter break. Some of the recent negative reviews seem suspicious since the front desk staff could not have been nicer. They were genuinely concerned about any issues that may have emerged from the renovation and were extremely accommodating. Overall the rooms are nice. The location of the hotel is convenient to many of the ski areas.

The rooms on the 3rd floor were newly renovated as some have mentioned by others. The room we stayed in had a few minor issues, which we were assured would be addressed.
- The carpet along the doorstep to the bathroom was poorly tacked and when walking to the bathroom barefoot at night cause me to step in a line of carpet nails (ouch!).
- The ventilation ducts are positioned right above the toilets. After showering, condensation water formed in the duct drips down on the head of whomever occupies the toilet next.
- Our room had no towel bars, making it harder to re-use towels.

The biggest gripe we had were that the new beds were extremely high. For a family hotel this a real issue. One of our kids dropped off the bed in the middle of the night, fortunately without getting hurt. When checking out we were notified that bed-rails are available. It would have been good to have known this when we checked in.

We used the pool a couple of times. The water as very cold the first day, but seemed to have been adjust the following days. It was nice for the kids.
The peak rates seemed on the high end, but this was primarily due to the winter holiday season. However, it did not feel like $200/night hotel.

Sorry that we forgot to mention the bed rails. It's that learning curve we're going through. The tack strip was a surprise to us and has been taken care of. The rooms are missing a towel cubby for the bathroom but will be installed soon plus we will have a retractable clothesline over the tub for wet swim suits and towels. I'm sure that we will earn our value as we tweak the renovation process. Please give us a chance to be your North Conway Comfort Inn & Suites when you visit again. Thank you for your review!

We had not stayed here previously, booked online last minute to take advantage of ski conditions. Had I checked older reviews, probably would have looked elsewhere. The facility bore no likeness whatsoever to the three posted.

The staff ranged from pleasant to very helpful in booking two adjoining rooms on the third floor.
What our party found was a typical chain hotel layout, with light buffet breakfast that was more than ample and provded in a dedicated dining room that had a nice corner fireplace. Both were newly renovated and were lacking nothing except, oddly, towel racks were provided to encourage guests to resuse linens. Decor was better than most in this price class, and we found all portions of the hotel very clean in appearance. Rooms were very quiet, with no noise from adjoining occupied rooms. We didn't use the indoor pool, but it also looked very nice. Don't be disuaded from booking if told parking is "behind the golf course", as it only a mini golf and the parking is actually close and very well lit. We had heavy snow during our stay, and all exterior parking and access areas were kept after very well. Plenty of other lodging in this area, but if you prefer the chains and a decent breakfast in-house, this should work well for you.

Room Tip: Can verify that third floor has been redone, second floor in process as of March, 2013.

You noticed! We are missing a towel bar for your wet towels - the carpenter is running behind in making the additional towel cubby for the new bathroom. They should be here soon. We are also installing a retractable clothesline above the tub for hanging swim suits and towels. Oh those final tweaks that need to be taken care of. Thanks for your wonderful review - we hope to see you for a return visit. You'll love Pirate's Cove during the summer!
