What a trip, even if you just take the the 13/4 hour return trip to Bartlett you will see some lovely sights and cross some lazy rivers whilst getting an inspired narration from a local expert.

It's fun to travel back in time and see what is was like then. There is not a lot to see on this trip unless you like trees and ferns. We had lunch in the dining car and again is was OK. Adequate. Fortunately we met some nice folks on board that helped to make it somewhat memorable. I'd say save your money and go up Mt. Washington on the cog railway. That s an experience.

We took the 5.5hour trip, it was lovely, but it was a little long. We would have been happier with 3 hours or so. The views are spectacular, the trees were all starting to change colour as well. We also had lunch which was surprisingly good. I would recommend this to anyone but be prepared for a long trip if you choose the 5 hour version. The train staff were very friendly too.

A great ride from North Conway to Fayban Station. Though the weather was terrible the ride and company were great. Had lunch at the second seating and the dining car was classis and the food fine.

The views were fantastic. Great value for money. Great steam train and carriages. The carriages have been restored to their original 1800's style. The staff were very good and enthusiast ice about the trains. Plenty of picture opportunities particularly when the train decoupled and went to the other end of the train
