“What a wonderful escape!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2011

I only stayed one night at the Cranmore Mountain Lodge but it was so refreshing and restorative - I cannot wait until I can return! I stayed in Room 7 - a lovely room towards the back of the inn where I was serenaded to sleep by the peepers. Thank you Freddie, Thiery, and Claire - and Blackie - can't wait to come back!

Frederique and Thierry were perfect host. The hotel was extremely homey, with a nice entertainment room. Best of all was the outdoor hot-tub. Nothing quite like that to relax after a long hike (we climbed Mt. Washington). As added bonuses, breakfast and wifi are included. All in all, this was a great find.

Our second annual stay with the Cranmore Lodge. We travel with an elderly dog who likes to be with us, so it is great to be able to have a place to go to, relax and unwind. It is in a perfect location, just down the street from skiing, shopping, eating and entertainment. The food at the Lodge is delicious, the owners personable and the price is just right. They even put out a welcome doggie dish with treats upon arrival! Thanks for making our weekend wonderful. J&J, Nashua, NH

The trip started with the Innkeeper statement "If you want breakfast be here at 7:30a.m. or I can not guarantee you will be seated. We have 47(?) seats and over 50 staying with us." She was not very personable. I definitely did not feel welcomed. The Inn is definitely country but not charming. It's more outdated and not maintained well. Everything seemed old and warn out not just old and country. The driveway was not plowed well, neither where the walkways. We made our way to the room and was very disappointed. There were dead flies on our bed and live ones flying around everywhere. The bed linens where dirty, hair and dirt on them. Also, the deadbolt to our room did not even line up to bolt shut. The room felt dirty(meaning stained and old), windows had a film on them and the blinds where dusty and broken/bent. I stayed at this Lodge because of the reviews. I hope this one will help someone else considering staying here.

We welcome individually each guest by greeting them, showing them the common rooms, giving them advice for dinner, and when we have a full house (which was the case), letting them know that breakfast is served between 7:30 and 9 am, so if they have plans for early morning activities (such as ski lessons), it is always better to come earlier than later. We just don’t want you to arrive for breakfast at 8:30 for a ski lesson at 9 and not be able to take a relaxing breakfast on time! We are sorry you misunderstood the message and thought you wouldn’t be able to be seated! We are in New Hampshire and after a snow storm (or during a snow storm!) we do our best to maintain the driveway as good as possible. But this is sometimes tricky when there is a warm day that melts everything followed by a freezing night. The flies found in the room are “cluster flies” that are born and die in a few hours. They are like these ladybugs that you can find sometimes in your house in the middle of the winter. We treated the room several times but unfortunately, when it is getting warmer outside, they might appear… and die. This is not because our room is dirty! As for the dirty linens (with hair and dirt on them???) we are speechless!

Looking to get away for a long family ski vacation, which included our new puppy, was proving to be challenging..until I found Cranmore Mountain Lodge during an Internet search. Besides accepting pets, the Inn looked cozy and accommodating. Freddie, the InnKeeper, was more than accommodating when we needed to shift our dates at the last minute. After a 7 hour drive, we arrived at 3 am exhausted. I was thrilled when I climbed into my bed and found it to be very comfortable. We (2 adults, 4 young teens, and our dog) spent 4 wonderful days at Cranmore. Our room was perfect, it met all of our needs and never felt cramped, even with 7 of us in it. One of the best part of our stay was the amazing breakfast we received every morning. Between the 6 of us, we tried everything on the menu, and nothing disappointed. I'm a coffee nut and expected an average cup, but was very pleasantly surprised. Our dog had a great time as well. The grounds were great for long walks and exploring. Although I mapped it before booking our reservations, I didn't realize how very close the Lodge was to Cranmore Mountain Ski Resort until we got there. It is literally a 2 minute ride down the road, and you don't even have to go on the main road. Freddie and her family were very friendly and more than accommodating. I would highly recommend this B&B and hope to make a return visit ourselves.

We did the All inclusive ski and stay package and found it to be a great value. You got so many extras we had plenty to do. Everyone is super nice but at the same time not in your face. It was an extrememly relaxing weekend. We skied, we relaxed, we ate and drank and just had an amazing time. Breakfast was fantastic!! Nothing better than a good hearty breakfast before heading to the mountain for the day. (Not to mention Cranmore is literally RIGHT down the street!!) Great Valentines Weekend Away!!
