Owner description: A rock cliff that is popular with climbers.
Reviewed July 5, 2013

it was a nice ride to the top, and we were surprised at the somewhat ease of the short walk to the top after parking. the view of the houses and trees and the view of echo lake from he top are really amazing. there were several nice folks we met while we were up there and a couple of them offered to take pics. of us together, so we accepted. what a nice time we had up there.when we return in the fall, we will repeat that trip to the top.

A lookout spot atop a large cliff. There is a gated and non-gated area. We drove to the top( 2 minute drive), but it looked as if there were hiking trails as well.

We drove to the top and walked the few minutes to get to the ledge. It is fenced in and the views were amazing! We took lots of pictures which I know won't do it justice. We explored a little further and walked further than the fenced in area and were pleasantly surprised. We stood on all rock while watching a rock climber hook up his gear getting ready for a rock climbing lesson. So glad that we found it! We saw Diana's Bath prior to this which is on the same road.

We decided to do the one-hour hike up from the trailhead at the bottom. It was a bit steep in some sections and you would need to be in pretty good condition to take this on. Take the trail to the left of the self-pay parking & info board. Follow the red/white blazes for about 15 minutes until you hit the Bryce Hiking Trail - to the left you can get to Echo Lake and to the right Cathedral Ledge - follow the yellow blazes. Fantastic views from the top. The trail was wet when we did it and so we opted to take the road down to the car park.

Its a short walk to the viewing area that is on the side of a cliff. Its fenced in so you can walk right up to the edge and take great pictures of the valley. Well worth the stop and then we went to Schatner's Farm to purchase the most delicious strawberries!
