Give yourself ample time to enjoy this phenomenal drive. Be sure to stop at each opportunity and have your camera ready, because you will want to take many pictures ... GREAT MEMORIES. The road got a bit rough in spots, but certainly nothing that a car or cycle cannot handle.

“A Few Maple Leaves Turning”

Beautiful drive. Nice cool day a spot or two of rain and lots of great views. It is a drive you will make each time you visit this area. The small towns and villages along the route are nice stopping points.

“Lovely scenery”

This is a must do. The scenery is beautiful. We really enjoyed this drive. You must start at the beginning and drive all the way to Lincoln.

“Lovey scenic drive”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

I enjoyed not only the overlooks but the nice hikes to waterfalls and covered bridges. The fall color will be great. It was just beginning to turn but is lovely anyway. I like that it is not all that long of drive between civilization. No cell service or gas , but we knew that before hand. It took us 3 hours instead of one because we took our time to see what was there.

“A must for scenery lovers!”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

The rain had started and we were looking for something to do. We decided to drive over to Lincoln on the Kancamagus Highway and were not disappointed. Lots of areas to stop off at to take pictures and the views were breathtaking. The rain certainly didn't spoil our enjoyment and we had the added bonus of the trees starting to 'turn'. For a snacks bite to eat at lunchtime we went into the Black Mountain cafe which is located in the first mall on the left hand side and the food was good, with an extensive range of local soft drinks and beers. It was worth a visit before doing the return journey.
