Owner description: Highway 112 runs from Center Conway to North Woodstock, just south of Franconia Notch. Passing through the White Mountain National Forest, it is considered one of the most scenic highways in the U.S. and offers a number of interesting stopping off points.

It's a beautiful ride through the mountains. Plenty of scenic places to pull over. The restrooms were clean. There is no litter anywhere. It's free to drive but, if you want to stop and park at for example Rocky Gorge, it's $3 but, you can use it all day at all the stops. Our favorite stop along the way is Lower Falls. It is beautiful!! There are rocks to climb on and waterfalls. There are natural slides on the rocks. It can have a strong current at times but, it's awesome!! Great for a picnic too!

Not for those who get car sick, but a lot of stops to make along the route. There is a cool side road that will take thru the covered bridge.

My husband and I have travelled in many areas of the US and specifically look for spectacular scenic drives - so we were excited to drive the Kancamagus Highway. Not sure what all the hype is about. It is mostly trees and windy up-and-down roads. There weren't many views compared to other drives we've been on, even in New England. If you are in the White Mountains area, you do need to drive it, but don't have too high of expectations.

Such a scenic highway. There's a fantastic view around every bend. We kept stopping to take pictures. There are a number of attractions on The Kanc as well. We spent an entire day driving and partaking in activities.

When I checked Tripadvisor for things to do in North Conway, the "Kanc" came up. The reviews were excellent and did not lie. Absolutely beautiful. There is a Scenic Byways pamphlet you can get that is a 100 mile trip through out the mountains and the Kanc. You must try it.
