My buddy just moved up here and this is a great little place. The beer selection is awesome. The IPA is great. Good bar type food. The buffalo chicken dip is really good. When ever I go up, we always try to make it here, at least for some apps. If not we will have a growler filled up so we can have the beer back at my friends house. FYI the onion rings are more like onion strings, not big and think like typical onion rings...

We used to go to the goose all the time. Had not been in a year or so we stopped by Sat March 8th on the way home from skiing. Stood in the lobby being ignored for 10 mins or so then "greeted" by a snarky young guy like we were bothering him. Very rude not at all like it used to be there, must be new ownership. We took our $200 dinner for four to One Mile West and had a GREAT dinner

I like to go to the pub after a day of skiing snow shoeing, etc. The veg chili is so good as are all the beer selections. Nix the wine-it's a BEER place.

We have never been disappointed here. We must have discovered the Flying Goose 17 years ago when I lived in the Hanover NH area. We have probably dined there more than twenty times. There are two dining rooms, one closer to the bar and a larger dining room at the opposite end of the building.

The food is always gourmet and so much to choose from--jambalaya, ribs, burgers, pub grub, salads, pulled pork. The last time we were there with friends the special was barramundi. Nobody in our party could even eat half of their portion. The slabs of fish were so huge that they hung over both ends of the plates.

The beers alone are worth the trip. There is something for everybody--light lagers, strong ales, brown ales, IPAs, a rich cream stout, a porter, and fruity beers for those who prefer them. A few times we have ordered the sampler of nine beers, but after several trips we have settled on our favorites and order full mugs.

The view of Mt. Kearsarge is pleasant. Open countryside is not common in this part of New Hampshire, so the perspective from the hillside in New London is refreshing and unique.

We also have always enjoyed great service at the Flying Goose, which is rather impressive, given the time span we have known the place and the number of times we have dined there. We often choose the Flying Goose when entertaining guests and no one has ever been disappointed with food or service.
