“Nice Dinner”
Reviewed July 25, 2014

My husband and I visit the Homestead every couple of months or so and have never been disappointed. The service is consistently nice, and we always feel welcome. We enjoy the decor and atmosphere although some areas / tables are a bit dark and could benefit from a little more lighting.
For appetizers, we typically order the crab cakes or the escargot, the latter being one of our favorite dishes here. The chili is also very good. Burgers are decent and the sea scallops are another go-to. We also like that main entrees come with a choice of two out of several side dishes including salads.

We come in quite a bit the food can be hit or a miss. Drinks can also taste a little strange sometimes.

“Very nice evening”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

We stopped in for an evening meal. There were a lot of cars in the parking lot and thought there might be a long wait - we were wrong. We were seated immediately. That was a start of a very nice evening. The food as well our waitress was wonderful. Jessica was so nice, patient and understanding that we weren't in a hurry and wanted "time". She was wonderful as well as the food. We've been before and will go again. We had the evening specials - three seafood special and the steak pepper special - wonderful!

Reviewed July 11, 2014

We went there for a family dinner. Food had absolutely no taste, The veal Oscar was overcooked. cannot recognize if it was really veal or chicken breast. The lobster was dry and way overcooked. The baked stuffed haddock and steak was also overcooked. There was not seasoning at all

“Hit or Miss”
Reviewed July 8, 2014

This restaraunt is right up the street from home, so we have tried it quite a few times. Kinda expected it to be like the previous restaraunt called Silo's, but it doesn't quite make that class. Every time we have visited is different, sometimes we eat outside, or upstairs at the bar or in the dinning area and receive different service each time. I don't believe it's the servers themselves but more lack of training and supervision by management :( The food is ok but nothing on the menu that makes me want to go back because I can't find it elsewhere. We will go back, but it's always with no expectations.
